Yes there is a manual button you can depress at the top of the solenoid to test housings. As well as provide manual power to the wiring posts to activate also
@@cabovercartel7671 No the 1600 series of engines were direct acting dual overhead cam engines with no rocker arms to to act on, also engines with pre combustion chambers don't get the most out of jakes, which is probably the reason most 3406a engines had their pre cups converted over to di. Unfortunately the brakesaver or some other retarder is your only option, which work well if the engine already has one but they are a pain to add to an engine that dosen't have one.
Maybe u can help i Turn my engine brake on and they just sound fine but when shut em down they keep being engaged for a couple seconds and sounds like a machine gun
