Correct. However, PPP holds true if you live and work in the same country. For example, if you save 60% of your earnings in NL and move to say India, then the savings are now worth more. But, I agree with your statement to not obsess over currency conversions.
Very true man! If u convert the value in EUR, it comes to around 72k Euros..based on PPP, this value is around 22 lacs..which is also a good salary but a more accurate value

Compare with Purchasing power parity & standard of living in cities like Bangalore, delhi, mumbai a lot of IT employees are earning & saving more here. And the fact that this guy will look to settle there expenses will skyrocket.. it's not worth it unless ur in America where salaries are really high end & savings are justified after expenses but only if u don't care about being 🔫 ☠️💀. 15 indians both students & migrants have been mrderd there in few months alone.. and situation is going to worsen both economically & socially in coming days both sides of the Atlantic.
Bro the good thing about tax he is giving is its worth it because in India we are just giving charity to corrupt politician through tax.In Netherlands Government is using that tax money in development.

Sahi bola. Me 2 saal UK me tha. Family ke saath koi saving nahi hoti. Saving ke liye aapko PG me rehna padega akele chote se kamre me ya fir dono working ho warna aapke haath me kuch nahi bachega. Ghumna aur transport mehenga hai. Services bhi mehengi hain. Mera analysis ye hai ki fresher ki tarah gaye to thik hai but experienced IT professional ke liye India me hi acha paisa mil raha hai. Aur yahan services cheap hain plus you can live luxuriously. You can buy or rent out big apartment with luxurious amenities which you cant if u live abroad.

Savings in not the only criteria. Just look at the social security that these countries provide. Free healthcare, free education and a decent money after retiring. Plus if you loose your job you get unemployment benefit. Here in India even after paying hefty taxes we have nothing.
I was in UK for 1.9 yrs. I have total 9.6 yrs of experience in IT. I applied 300 - 400 jobs & i got only 1 interview, I cracked as well but unfortunately they selected local UK guys. I want to move to UK or any EU countries. Could you please guide me how to get UK/EU jobs & how to find which employers can give me sponsorship.
Job market is horrible for immigrants in the UK, immigrants are at disadvantage of needing employer specific restrictive sponsorship. Salaries are not on par with USA and some immigrants get even less because of visa fees incurred by employer.

I have been here for more than 5 years now . Come to Netherlands only if you want better lifestyle, work -life balance.
Now the 30% ruling rules have changed , earlier it was for 8 years , during my tenure , it was for 5 years , now its only for 2 years.
Pros:
1. Better work life balance
2. No one can force u work for more than 8 hours , strict European employee laws.
3. Chance to visit other neighbouring countries.
4. Straightforward people , they respect honesty.
5. Better life for children.
6. Better infrastructure.
Cons :
1. Over last few years a lot of people have migrated in Nederlands.
2. You'll have to learn Dutch over a period of time.
3. House prices have increased terribly and also the jnterest rate.
4. You'll get a salary which is sustainable for you, if you come with your family , you need to have a good salary or your partner should also earn.
5. Food is not that great .
6. Cost of living is high.

Anyone thinking that he is earning less in Netherlands and you are saving more in India, understand that he has travel luxury to all European area + clean air + more physical activity coz of cycle culture. Yes, I understand that he won't have easy access to pani puri, chole bhature, dosa, cheap labor, even for calling a plumber he would have to pay bombs and might not even save much in many years + extreme winters + loneliness in HOLI/DIWALI but but but he is living in foreign yaar!
