I found a decent place to really test the Explorer Off Road. Their were a lot
of ATV and Side x Sides out so I couldn't get a lot of footage. Hopefully next time I will get a lot better video for everyone.
Hope you enjoy it.

I cut a lot of that rubber off as it hits EVERYTHING....even on road. From my understanding, it's shaped the way it is for better gas milage.
Yep it’s an air dam for better mpg on the freeway mostly.
well primary front wheel drive if you run it in normal mode. 50/50 in other modes. i took mine out on the beach, soft sand, deep sand, wet. did fine.
My question is, should I drive in Auto, as in D for drive, or should I put it down in manual 1st gear? And this is in reference for driving off road.
Just in d. But trying to go slow up hill go to manual and the. 1st for the most torque.
@@EverydayCars Thanks for the information.
I cut off that plastic piece in the front. Made a big difference.
How often do you change your ptu fluid?
Depends what engine you have. The 4 cyl isn’t as close to the pry so there is less direct heat. So probably every 40k miles. Now the 3.5 ecoboost I would say every 25k miles. The turbo almost sits on top the ptu so the fluid gets cooked.
most every car could have done what this Explorer did in this video.
If you want to offroad. Don't buy a woman's car
You should have fun no matter what you have. It’s fun seeing what your car is capable of doing even when not specifically designed for it.
@@EverydayCars Yeah so long as you know what your doing. And you don't fuck it up and dent the hell out of it...(g)
