Nice, I’ve always been a bit nervous on the YT editor as it’s never been all that clear or intuitive to me..... hate to think it trims off all except the bit you want gone.
That said it’s always worth knowing!
And I have a video where this might do amazing things to my retention on a couple of dodgy end screens!

You know, I watched this video just because I like your content. But the whole time I was thinking that I would never use the TH-cam editor. Yesterday someone caught me on a mathematical error (and watching it again I realized a whole segment made no sense...). Easily chopped, no loss in views, no loss in fidelity, and now it's a completely correct video, which is the only one to cover this particular topic on TH-cam. (SVDs for Compact Operators)

I have a lot of older videos that i was just walking around talking and they're 45 minutes long, i don't want to delete them per say because i need the views and watch time and they do have good parts to them, but now i can go clean up and delete all the unnecessary parts before i apply for monetization. Question. I have several viseos I uploaded before I was able to upload 4 k videos...they are kinda pixelated. However, some have views in the 700's, and with 4-5 minutes of content each, altogether they bring a pretty good hunk of watch hours to the table. I want to re-do them, as I have saved all of the data I made them with, and I've gotten better software and generally better at using it. If I were to rebrand them completely as a new video, new name, all that...is there any benefit to just unlisting the old versions and keeping the views and hours...at least until the new versions outpace them?
