I don't know why people keep perpetuating this "I wish I didn't do singles but multis instead, I would have gotten more A-Ranks". A-Rank pity works here exactly like 4 star pity in Genshin. It doesn't matter if you do a 10-pull or pull singles, it checks your history and guarantees an A-Rank regardless. If you go 1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1 and no A-rank, then the 10th single will give you A-Rank. You get the same amount of A-Ranks regardless if you're doing singles or multis.
One thing that I wish I knew sooner than today...you can exchange characters in your Ascension slots from the battle screen. Go to those three white dots and then the helm icon (second from the bottom) and you can swap the units into the Ascension slots that you will need for the upcoming fight.

For the 10 pull thing. Top-left corner rules for the All-Hero Recruitment and Epic Recruitment says that it's an A-Level hero every 10 recruits. That same menu for Rate Up Recruitment does not have this specific wording.
Additionally, the asterisks wording just above the recruit buttons for all three of those says 10 recruits guarantees an A-Level or above hero which is basically the same wording for all the gachas I've played where it's A-Level within 10 summons and not only if you do a 10-pull
Maybe this is well known, maybe not: You DO NOT have to win at crystal defense. You ONLY have to protect it until the timer runs out and it'll be a victory

Using 5 healers and healing spell is a strategy I use sometimes lmao
And that's why my best friend is Igor.
Get active friends, lots of them, so that you get that friend chest whenever you login.
That friend chest sometimes gives 2 hr hero essence, which is HUGE.
Oh...they do? I keep receiving only hearts. And the heart exchange is purely cosemtics? Anything useful?
Yes, that chest give you 25 hearts and sometimes something else too, but so rarely and not always those hero essence, but definetly worth it since it ask nothing to do except click once on it
I got nothing today. No hearts either. Might have been a glitch and I'll get them in a while?

A tip for getting through some battles, in battle settings, changing auto battle to optional per battle, which allows to manually control each heros ult. Many stages can be won by manually ulting Cecia and sending Mr Carlyle to the enemy backline, this has helped me progress to many afk stages that I couldn’t beat otherwise

You should have spoke about Affinity because they never tell you about this in the game and you might have Essence, Diamond or Letters for pulls sitting there, They don't notify you like they do in other parts of the game you just have to click it and see, it lvls up the more you use the character and you can self lvl it with all the random berrys and items you find in the world. or items you by from the friend store.
While it is very hidden in the game, as far as I can see it doesn't really do anything besides giving out title words and new story trivia, he focuses more on progress in this video

Currently on stage 889 - one thing I want to share is , do not underestimate how far a full dps team can get you through stages you’re stuck on.

Little point for spenders: Buying the Classic Gazette is the best value for getting gems. You get 3k gems every time you extend it up to 300. Don't try to go over though, or else they just give you a 4.99 coupon in game to use on cash items. I didn't know this for more than week after I started playing.

a good thing to do is to help people, it gives heart currencies which allow us to buy item to raise affinity. When a character reach a threshold, we'll get diamonds or standard banner ticket

Some great tips and tricks here that I didn't realize! I just went up higher in the Tower of Nature and beat floors 49 and 50 by swapping out the resonance heroes, since I had three spots up to 170, but thought that applied to the heroes in the slots, not the slots themselves. I've also never used synergy requests, so I'm going to give that a go. Thanks!
When you get your resonance level high enough, you can assist in corrupted creatures in areas you havrnt unlocked yet and can get the gear and soulstone rewards
About the single pulls - that’s not how gatcha banners work. If the banner says ur guaranteed a purple unit every 10 pull you will get that regardless if you do 10 altogether or 10 individually. It doesn’t affect the drop rate at all.
Stargazing - the new abyss function has stargaze wishes listed as a reward

And now the most important advice for a beginner. if you play for a long time, but you realize that you could play much better, knowing your mistakes and guides - just start playing on the newest server, in the first minutes of its appearance (it happens usually during the daily update).
If you manage your time and resources wisely, you will have a great chance to be in the top, in the best guild with the best rewards every day. this will give a huge progress than playing on an old server among whales or more experienced players, where your difference as an abyss will only grow every day.
Don't be afraid to start again. even if you have been playing for a month. you will achieve the same result 2-3 times faster if you do everything on time and with understanding.
Dude I thought I was doing well when I was at the dark forest after my 6th day, this guy is crazy, props to you man and thanks for the advice.
Suggestion
While doing the team up games there are times when you get the request for eradication and the reward will be soul ston and gear upgrade instead of 5 hearts.
The Main Point is you can get 400 essence too from there
Hey man! Watching all your vids. I have a content suggestion: As, most likely, the majority of people, I completely skipped the story of AFK Journey. Browsing Reddit I often see people saying that the story was quite good. Could You please make a Lore video about the game?
Anyway, keep on doing these great vids and good look with your f2p account pulls.
if you're playing on mobile, you can login to your Farlight pass everyday (just go to settings where are all the social media). You get points just by logging in and you can exchange them with special bundles! you get extra pulls just entering your date of birth and claiming the first bundle!
big tip: antandras victory screen animation has her melons swaying when she swings her shield
not much of a strategic advantage but definitely a morale one
One key tip. Play corrupted creatures which are of higher level when possible through team up/guild. The equipment stuff u get are sometimes+30 levels and will be of huge help in fights. If u play it when u open that map then the equipment u get may just be 10 lev higher.
Also not to mention around 400 essence which means faster progression
One thing i wish i knew, especially for F2P, is that you can refresh until you get the challenge bot who is easy to beat. And it can help you reach the next tier to get the rewards. The refreshes reset after ever win and defeat. This is useful for those who dont care for the arena but want to at least get the rewards.
One tip is putting two of yours together. Before buying from Keith or Bowa, check the contents of chests on the map you haven’t yet opened, and kill the Corrupt Creature, and don’t buy any equipment that you would get anyway. Also compare the levels with what you have, if it is only gaining 5-10 levels, it probably isn’t worth the currency (unless the only choice is xp, and you are swimming in it for Keith’s shop)
It took me a while to figure out you can forge lower tier equipment upgrade mats into better ones. After you have recycled all the gear you can, click the same button and it lets you combine
I get stuck at AFK stages frequently. I know it isn't always a matter of just upgrading characters and artifacts (if that's what they're called here) but also positioning. I'm really bad at the positioning, not sure if I'm just missing something really simple, I know I'll get there eventually, but your beginner friendly guides have helped me tons in the past.
Like he mentioned, always look at other people's replay, it got me through a big block and I managed to go through 70 levels in 1 day by adjusting my team
One unit I wish I had on the wishlist more of was Kreuger. That unit is just perfect for Dreamrealm and the Big Wolf Boss.
what do you think of buying the 5 weekly stargazes from the pvp shop if your in champion or higher?
One thing I wish I knew at the start was to save the Omni-acorn's for your main units in case they run out of their corresponding faction acorns. I ended up using them on Lyca and Eironn whom I dont even use often (especially lyca) 😢. But oh well

Synergy battle is a cheat code u fight with 6 units on the field. Guarantees a win.
@@Muath-Mahmoud the ones people usually gets stuck on are the intervals of 5 though and after you clear that the next 4 stages are a lot lower level.

Getting that red chest early can be a game changer for your account
Getting Vala to level 10 equipment early allowed me to progress to champion rank early and that has helped a lot. Don't have cecia to mythic plus so she's kinda usless for me right now, hopefully get her soon, but im able to clear hell in all battles with Vala as my main damage, with mythic plus Brutus. Afk stages 900+ is still easy to clear with legendary heros as my supports. Hopefully get cecia to mythic plus soon though. Just need 1 more copy.
The Lucius attack was personal. I wish I hadn't missed out and Marilee and Korin as well.
Ye i agree my whish list is the same as yours...but i start it like that in day 1 :D so i agree it is so important to get Caroline and the Mereli,Koko,Korin and Odie.

You can also get invite letters and other goodies thru Affinity. Give your heroes plants.

The patch notes mentioned something regarding this, they wanted to make it clear that you don't have to pull 10 times in one go for a guaranteed A-Level because people were confused. So yes, it's not exclusive to 10 pulls and it doesn't matter.

I'm 3 weeks in and haven't been efficient with hero building (built heroes I liked from afk arena then found they weren't that great).

The %s shown do NOT include pity and the breakdown is 4.26% S-Tier & 12% A-Tier for Rate-Up and 2.88% S-Tier 23.06% A-Tier for normal.
So 6 Vala's + 19 A-Tiers @42.3k diamonds could have been 4.5 S-Tiers and 36 A-Tiers.
Mythic+ Vala or 4.5 additional chances at Smokey & 17 additional A-Tiers.
Honestly I've just been playing the afk stages (and game as a whole) slowly been playing for almost 2 weeks now and and I'm only level 325 at 100 resonance
Buying from Ironhoof Forge also counts as buying from the emporium which is great for the buy daily and buy 10 things weekly quests. The Keith unlock quest is called Holistone Merchant you literally just have to talk to the guy and quest done 😁
opening the auto ultimate usage on every single character instead of it being active on the whole team, and being forced to play the game on 1x during battles...
settings .... battle-manual control .... "optional per battle" makes ultimates auto on every character instead of the all team. (putting something between 2 - - -makes it like this- )
instead of manually doing all of them, it helps you to put certain ones on manual while keeping others at auto.
for example using koko's ult. before cecia's ultimate was a pain that changed the fate of so many battles by using this i could time their ultimates at my own pace
Hi quick question, i have supreme cecia and mythic odie, im on 9th day on my server and im thinking who should i focus the tidal crystals for their weapon. Im thinking of waiting for odie to get to mythic+ and upgrade his weapon to lvl 5 or 10 while slowballing getting mats currently im within top 50 on my server. Thanks
a lot of the things you say i dont agree with. on a fresh server you should spend all your diamonds every day for 10 pvp fights. It is one of the best things you can do. getting to challenger and getting first 20-40 people as f2p is doable and once ur in challenger lets say ur one of the first 40. wait until end of the day. push 10 battles then 10 again right after reset to hit top 20. the Temporal essence is a huge boost and it sets you apart from the other f2p. having 2x +10 weapons will help you push bossfights and even make it top 20. its a snowball game. getting that extra edge is crucial.
Support said it doesn't matter if you 10 pull or single pull

I feel the graveborn units problem so much. Been trying to up anything but, but I get 3 out of 4. Sure it boosts them but they're not chars I need nor want to use.

Which heroes are worth to upgrade the skills ?
I am always in distress if my team is good enough... If i placed them right, if i use my characters right... Am i buying the right things and making good decisions... Im always like that in those types of games you know? And every time i play something like this i have a constant feeling that i am doing something wrong. But this game is hella fun for me... I hope that feeling will get gone once i hit the jackpot and get my team arranged in a killing machine
Auto battle for individual characters. Sometimes Coco uses her skill before the Cesia skill which is why Carlyle can die faster
tf you talking about. You either auto battle or you do manual. I wish I could put like cecia on auto, smokey on auto but control koko manually, however that ain't the case.
@@Safineya you can do that by switching battle mode in the battle settings to "manually for each battle" or something. I don't remember what it's called clearly
@@Safineya Not true. You can set it up in setting and keep everyone but 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 champs on auto. Common practice is to keep Cecia and Koko on manual but everyone else on auto in battle helps you do wait to do Koko's until after Cecia.
Can confirm choosing who to manual exists. When you select the correct option in settings (I also can't remember what it's called), a little spinning, orange cogwheel appears on each unit's icon. If you tap/click it, it turns gray and stops spinning, meaning you can ult with that unit specifically manually. It's a great feature and I wish more games had it!
Currently I'm at AFK 530, I have around 65k diamonds, I've spent around 5k or less since I started, and I have around 6k dream fragments
I think I've reached my limit as a F2P with minimal spending, I have a decent pushing team but still way behind compared to others from the server
I come from genshin impact and very little experience with afk games or gacha games in general
Genshin is designed to be easy and relaxing to play, so once you have decent team it's normal to skip banners and save for your favorite characters
I've noticed that in AFKJ both team comb and character tier play important role
So should I spend my 65k on the all hero banner and get a wide range of heros to tier up even by a little, or should I save it for the rate up banner and get that one character to mythic+ ?
I ascended Vala to Mythic+ and honestly no regrets. She carried me through hundreds of AFK stages, most of which had insane level gaps. Although in the upper AFK stages, you're gonna need an A-Team and a B-team for the double round stages. So maybe at least 2 really built up DPS heroes, and 2 built tanks they can hide behind. Mine was Vala and Cecia, and Lucius and Granny (only 'cause Thoran keeps evading me in pulls. TuT) At least the supports can mostly function with a few copies - I mostly use Rowan and Smokey.
Afaik the ten pulls vs 1 pulls dont matter, I cant find anything saying that the pity works differently from the way genshins does where it just resets when you get one regardless. Pretty sure ten pulls are just to save time if you have a lot to go through.
I use synergy when I have a battle that gives me a WARNING hard battle
I don’t see why single pulls get less ? The guarantee on a-tier is for pulling ten times, not doing a x10

Bruh...I got into Epic 1 for the first time yesterday. Woke up, I was sent back down to Elite 3.
For the trial tower, you can switch your highest leveled hereos for certain factions. If you have completed the quest "last leg," AFK stage 1125 and Hands or resonance 240. Then this advice is non applicable. Just remember to keep pushing until you unlock the next season.

Mtashed idk whats the rates on the 30 pity banner but for some reason i have always and i mean it, I have always gotten a S-rank within 10-15 pulls it never goes above that and i have pulled quite a lot on that banner
The problem with the limited banner is that you get way less A teir characters and a 10 pull costs 3000 instead of 2700
Buy and upgrade all armor even if you don't use the class the game gives enough money for you to do so
Good thing about me whenever I play a game: I will never ignore a "!" SIGN ON ICONS and not do anything about it. I will do it no matter how boring it is and finish it.

if you do a ten pull, you save 10% of your diamonds too
I am pretty sure the 10 pull vs single pull works the same as other Gacha, where if you do Ten single pulls, you WILL get an A level hero (regardless of 10 pull or single) and that A-class pitty resets every time you pull an A-class. E.g. pull 3x Singles and get an A-class, pity resets back to 10, pull another 10x singles and hit pity and get A-class.
Or is there fine print that says other wise in this game?
Im pretty sure it works this way. 10 pity for A-level.

Save it for your fav rate up hero .... Like currently you can pull out elsa there and ascend her quickly to mythic or higher ......hope this helps😊

Imagine being able to join a good guild. Whenever I even see a spot in some good guild before the timw out for leaving a guild ticks down someone already gets in. What's thw point of even trying if you then have to try and get back i to some bad guild.
I dont actually think that's the way it works...if your on stage 840 and thinking you would be on stage 860 if you did synergies, that is not how it works. If your on stage 840 then your on stage 840 no matter what, assuming your always at higher strength then at any other previous time (which is true like 99.9% and because I can't think of any reason someone would be weaker). Best bet is to use the synergy battle for equipment chest battles you probably can't complete.

I don’t agree about the single pulls argument. I use my single pulls all the time and I get A level heroes often from them. They might not be the heroes I wanted but I’ve gotten them a lot. Saving up pulls doesn’t matter in this game.

once you hit high legend 2 and get in legend 3 it becomes purely whale territory, there's no point in bothering to attempt to get into champion.

You also shouldn't be using diamonds to do single pulls. Always use diamonds to do 10 pulls because it will be cheaper. 1 pull requires 300 diamonds while doing a 10 pull gives you a 10& discount at 2700 diamonds. This means that you get another 10 pull after doing ten 10 pulls as opposed to getting nothing after doing ten single pulls 10 times. It doesn't apply for the character banners though.
I believe 1 pull on the standard banner is 270 gems not 300 so doesn’t matter weather you 10 pull or do singles.
@@teaandmilk7172 It's 300. The discount percentage also depends on the number of pulls you wish to buy with diamonds to do a complete 10 pull. eg. 10 pulls give you 10%, 9 pulls give you 9%, 8 gives you 8%, and so on and so forth.
Bro how are people going to afk sages 600+ with resonance 100 and here I'm stuck in 440 with resonance 120 even with the meta comp i can't beat the stages 😐

Don't shout out the records system when that system doesn't even work properly. I can't watch any records and the few I can watch are from the whales that have mythic + characters and also characters I don't even have.
