Will you be pausing math and phonics? I’m planning on doing the peaceful press but not sure if I want to pause LOE foundations and math or what ppl usually do?
Great question. I only take about two weeks off our normal schoolwork over the Christmas holidays. So, yes, I will be taking them off during that time. If I were going to take a longer break I might try to find some sort of way to practice. Whether that's just doing one or two days a week or finding some fun holiday themed printable worksheets. Anything to not lose all the hard work you're doing...especially with phonics. With the peaceful press I think it would be pretty easy to just swap the math & phonics every other day, giving yourself a lighter load but not a complete stop. And then just pause them the actual week of Christmas to make that week easier and more special. But honestly, I don't think it's a huge problem to take a longer break too. Just so long as you're ok going backwards a little bit. Everybody does it different. And it's different each year and with each kid. You won't really mess it up whatever you do. You'll just learn what works best for you and your kiddo.
@@journeyinthehomethank you so much for that, we usually do a lesson everyday so switch it out every other day would be a good way to slow down without completely stopping. Thanks for your guidance! You’re really inspiring 🫶🏻
