Love it. Last year I made a leather cover for a notebook and cards, which has been in my pocket ever since. It's a bit too bulky with a full 80-page Sakura Sketch/notebook in it, though. After watching your previous PaperPhone video I realized that I could just rip off the pages from the notebook and attach a smaller amount of pages to its cover with rubberbands, and use that. It already has a paper pocket, but now I'll definitely add a lid to keep it closed-thanks for the idea! It also has a pen loop, bookmark and a rubber band to keep the cover closed. This modified Sakura notebook cover has pretty much all I want for now, but it's more fun and interesting to make the whole thing yourself, so at some point I'm probably going to make a new cover from scratch with some modifications. I like those small slots for paper clips... I might do something like that.
The whole time on terminal reminded me of all these hours spent learning how to program documents on LaTeX because i was bored at my high school only to end up doing a phd in literature published with LaTeX 😂😂😂 definitely a rabbit hole ❤ Thanks for the update ! I love the reading list ! Any book we have from an author who passed away more than 70 years ago is in the public domain, so there's indeed a lot of awesome things available out there for free !
I make my own inserts to put in a leather cover that I bought, but my boox Palma ereader fits in it almost perfect, so I can put my ereader right in my notebook.
Thank you Victor, you are awesome! Hope you will have as much fun with the zine and the build as I had. Would love to see a picture of the final result!
Nice one. Ich mag das kleine Format. Bevor ich dein Video entdeckt habe, habe ich etwas ähnliches in A5 Format gebastelt. Aber ich mag, dass das 'Handy Format' einfacher zu verstauen ist. Danke für die Inspiration. :)
Excellent video. It would be good to see your template with the two margin lines - I file my pages on the sides like that, too (I picked up this trick from 'the ledger' in the video game Disco Elysium). :) The sticker stamps are super cool. Are you going to add the ravens tribe to your site? I love cats, but I think I'd probably belong to the book tribe. But it's a tough choice between the two. :) Anyway, thanks for all the links in the comments section. Going to go and get the zine now ...
Haven‘t played disco elysium but I looked up pictures from the ledger and it looms really cool. Is it described in more detail in the game? I‘ll try to get to put my templates on my site. just need to adopt it back to the „real“ paperphone size first 😁✌️
@@eastofawesome The design in the pictures looks really cool. In the game, it's described in detail (the game is a heavily text-based rpg, so it's basically an illustrated book), but it differs from the pictures. It's a blue plastic sliding storage clipboard with case files and forms - it doesn't have that cool hybrid ring system attached to the front on the outside with the tabs etc. But the alphanumeric and titular system for filing is pretty cool - reminds me of your new template. :)
