The ‘N’ in Hyundai N stands for Namyang, home to Hyundai Motor’s global R&D Centre in Korea since 1995, where the idea was born, and for the Nürburgring, home to Hyundai Motor’s European Test Centre, where the i30 N was further developed and tested. The close connection between Namyang and the Nürburgring created the foundation for N, aiming to build on the company’s motorsport experience to bring thrilling winding road fun to customers who love cars. The ‘N’ logo itself embodies this idea, as it symbolises a chicane.
...and it's most likely a message to BMW M Division from Albert Biermann, who left BMW for Hyundai because he felt M Division was restricting his freedom in developing new cars :'D

I have been an owner of an i30 N hatchback for well over a year now. I like the red stitching in this one a bit more over the blue in the hatch. The exterior is somewhat of a mixed bag. From certain angles it looks way better than the hatchback, from other angles it just looks weird.
Great review.. I'm going to buy .. one. But i am in dilemma between the fastback n and the hatchback n ..what do you recommended or prefer of those two..
I think Hyundai is simplifying things with this N=chicane business. Nobody knows what/where Namyang is. "N was born in Namyang and honed at the Nürburgring. The ‘N’ symbolises a chicane, the essence of Hyundai Motor’s high-performance car development" www.hyundai.news/eu/press-kits/all-new-hyundai-i30-fastback-n-hot-coupe-design-with-n-driving-fun/

The N is for Nurburgring and Namyang (Korea)
Fantastic review. Cungratulations
Glad you liked it!
Marek you are doing such a great job!! I love watching your videos and I'm always happy when you post a new one. Best of greetings from Denmark.

TheDudeInTheRedHotHatch I agree but the fastback looks better overall
I have one in white and love it
Please Hyundai! Bring this beauty to Canada! Instead of the ugly facelift you gave the Elantra in 2019..
I love that car, good review.
You sit high to make more space in the back. Your knees are more bended, so the space in the rear increases.
I think it looks good and sounds exciting!

If you need a daily, take the Fastback. If you want a track toy, take the hatchback.
Marek, nice intro with exaust.
It's cool. Great review.
Looks as a good car esp. for enthusiasts of sport drivings....
lovely sound
I’m in America and I want one of these. Any suggestions on how I could get my hands on one
Contact some one in UK.

What's the leg room like in the fastback, I test drove the i30n performance and my knees were hitting the steering wheel 😂
Same, even less in the back
And the cabin noice level is terrible, right Marek?
It's pretty bad.
I thought the N comes from Namyang track where Hyundai and Kia tests their sports models.

Namyang is not a track. It's where the Hyundai R&D center is located. They test their N cars on the Nurburgring.
👍🏻👍🏻
The exhaust system is buggered.
4WD?
Not that I know of. I think only Stinger gets AWD, and that's only in some markets.
Witaj Marek! I loved the video as always but the car not so much!!! It's a Hyundai. You have a nice pair of sunglasses! What are you using?
Check description.
@@TrudnyXd Thanks, I didn't notice that!
A CVT 😎
I wish Hyundai made an automatic version of this 🙄
Low probability.
+Károly Gellért What for?
Disgusting
@@MarekDrives A great car, love the design, but when there is no automatic version - no thanks.
There is no more comfortable way to drive.
Automatic Gearbox is coming somewhere this year.
