This is so funny haha all of these old classic special shows should be broadcast on TV now for the new generations to see (mine included) im 23 xD and remasterized
When Liza says Fred, I wonder if the voice doesn't belong to Fred Ebb - 1/2 of Ebb/ and John Kander one of the greatest song writing teams in Broadway history.
I know I'm five years too late with this comment, but that's definitely Fred Ebb's voice. He wrote the special and this song has lyrics by Fred and music by Larry Grossman.
@@giovannasaponare1542 It's not from a Broadway show. Fred Ebb and Larry Grossman wrote it specifically for this special. However, it was included in an Off-Broadway revue of Larry Grossman's music called Compose Yourself in 2008 and Liza's sister Lorna sang this song in that show.
@@giovannasaponare1542 Happy Holidays to you, too! I happened to be working for Larry Grossman when that revue was done back in 2008, so I had the inside scoop.
Has this television special ever been released onto DVD or VHS? I would love to have a copy?? As per with SO MANY Liza specials it seemingly is not available?
This is hysterically funny and campy!! I LOVE how horrendously bad this song is, and yet they are giving it the full treatment. "Why does butter need a knife?". Liza sounds great, and Goldie is doing her best to keep up. Thanks for posting.
They gave it the full treatment because of the last minute of the number. Goldie did more than just "keep up" here my friend. She went Striesandesque on that one note.
I have been looking for this for decades
Goldie looks just like her Daughter here. Two of the most Beautiful Women here 💜💜💜

I was PRAYING that Goldie Hawn would step into "Hello, Dolly" on Broadway after Bette Midler departed... A boy can dream, right?
i'm surprised she did''t Do mamma Mia
You are not alone.
I remember this years ago, Goldie has a beautiful voice and Kate is equally talented in acting and singing. Liza and Goldie sound beautiful here.
Good hing I taped it when it was on.
Here from TikTok
Slay
Now i know why Kate Hudson can act the musical movie "Nine",because the DNA^^ Good performance!
dont forget Kate's performance of All That Jazz with Lea Michelle on Glee just like her mother did with Liza xD
Me encanta esta canción. !!!
I direct stage productions and would love to find the sheet music for this.
