electricity was cut suddenly when im cleaning hearthfires.esm. after i tried to clean again it "assertion failure (P:\TES5Edit\wblmplementation.pas, line 10181)" showed up during the cleaning. then i deleted hearthfires.esm manually and verified files at steam (steam reinstalled hearthfires.esm and other .esm files those i cleaned before hearthfires.esm). so i started cleaning all over but same issue happened again, "assertion failure (P:\TES5Edit\wblmplementation.pas, line 10181)" showed up.
Have you or anyone noticed that after cleaning a file (I wanted to test this out by cleaning one file, which was the Prometheus no snow under roof), it now takes about 6 to 10 seconds before the timer counts down when you use the "wait" (pressing T on Keyboard) feature? It wasn't always so. So what I did, was deleted that Prometheus mod, then reinstalled it to get that "hasn't been cleaned error" message (to revert back to how it was before), but now it still takes that 6 - 10 seconds before the timer counts down. EDIT: And now suddenly, as if by magic, everything is back to normal again. I wanted to do a test first of all, and I started a new game. I know it autosaves as soon as you step off that cart during the execution/character creation. No Pause at all, just a the super brief one like usual when it does any kind of save. I then hit the quicksave, pretty quick and normal like usual. I loaded up my main high level game and now it saves/quicksaves all quickly again. And when I use the wait feature, the counter starts after maybe a second at most, so everything is back to normal again. I'm also using original Prometheus no snow mod BEFORE I cleaned it mind you. I'm not using that SSEEDIT ever again LOL, but that could just be me?
Just came back to the game, checked out “a few” (about a hundred) mods, using nexus mod manager like old time, new game. Crash after 30hrs, try to fix, new game. Crash after 30hrs, try to fix, new game. Crash after 30hrs, rage quit. Now I’m here T^T you’re my only hope. Is there anything else should I do my research on or I’m good to start modding the game?
Okay, okay, this actually happened - you said "please consider liking and subscribing" and I just thought to myself for a brief moment there "well, if that helps such a great guy such as yourself, why not?". And so here was the story of this comment. Safety and Peace be upon you. Farewell.
AI Cave, ur videos man! ive had several skyrim modding playthroughs but im still really new to it all (2017 to current) but this is the very 1st time ive followed a guide and actually took the modding seriously, I love this community so much. Bethesda has a jewl of a following, they better take care of it.
Is auto clean really all you need to clean plugins? I feel like that's too good to be true to just run auto clean on all dirty plugins and boom things are fixed...Are they any situations where you have to manually clean a plugin?
So I scrolled down quite a bit but didn't find an answer...You had us make a mod with updated masters (of the DLC's) but what happens when the DLC's are updated? Also I get this notice from LOOT (after I did the 1st SSEEDit QAC): "This plugin contains wild edits beyond ITM and UDR records and deleted navmeshes and may require additional manual cleaning to not interfere with other mods. Dawnguard.esm Wild Edits Cleaning Guide" Should that have been done before I created the "Clean Masters" mod?
DoH! Now I feel really stupid, I just found you video "Dawnguard is the DIRTIEST DLC... | Skyrim Modding Tips SSEEdit Cleaning" that takes care of my second question
I may be mistaken, but my grandpappy taught me that ITM is a problem when: Mod 1 - modifies some stuff Mod 2 - has ITM records for the same stuff = anything Mod 1 modified that is ITM in 2 is going to be overwritten. Mod conflicts are a thing, but in this case they are happening for no reason.
What you are describing are just normal record overwrites between mods. ITM records are records that already exist in the base Skyrim.esm and therefore are just unnecessary duplicate edits in a mod. In he description you gave, the issue is that the records in Skyrim.esm are being overwritten by Mod 1 but Mod 2 reverts them back because they are duplicates of the ones found in Skyrim.esm. So yes, i guess you are describing the issue correctly. Still even if you didn't have Mod 1 for the time being, if you were to get it later and sorted it properly it would cause issues which is why it's best to just get rid of all ITM records of the get go. Especially those in the DLC which you already are using. :)
How did you get the Data folder DLC in MO2, my mods are not organized like that. I went back and watched your videos but i cant seem to find were you make this change.
I have been following your very helpful series and it went really well until i cleaned the DLC and Update esms. Now skyrim won't start anymore, there is just the imperial symbol and a loading circle in the lower right corner. I checked for the files integrity via Steam an reinstalled the uncleaned masters, but still, when starting SKSE, there is no progression beyond the loading circle. When I start Skyrim on Steam, it does properly load though. Do you maybe have a helpful suggestion for me? Thanks in advance
Up to you. Those are most likely backup plugins SSEEdit Created or files it needed to load the plugins when it was cleaning. If everything works fine, there's no harm in deleting them.
@@aicavehub Thanks I'm really enjoying your guide this is new to me. I've only played Skyrim on console till now since I purchase it on steam this past week very cheap.
Install Mod from archive button... damn thats something from a previous vid isn't it... and I'm not even sure we use dthat button? This video moves over which button it is so fast! EDIT went back... yep didn't use this button previously. Thought I was going mad. When covering the mod install previouly it was done via dragging it into the download folder. So is there a reason why the install mod button is used instead of dragging to downloads? Also when I used 7ZIp my archive didn't look like yours but appears to have worked.. Other than that cheers.
Hit install mod from File menu (or cntl-M). then select zip file and install. Finally can move it up in window to just under core DLC's and they will turn to lightening bolts. (I was lost too until I saw your comment and looked for "Install Mod" feature) thanks!
Short answer: yes. Long answer: No if you don't want items dispersed throughout your leveled lists. Extra long answer: Yes, and you will have to make manual tweaks on top of that to make sure that any items from mods like Beyond Skyrim Bruma don't get mixed into your normal leveled lists.
My save files got corrupted, so I reinstalled Skyrim SE and the save files were no longer corrupted. But now, when I load up SSEEdit, none of my mods show up on the list, except for the official DLCs. Does anyone know how I can fix that?
I keep trying to use the auto clean on Hearthfire and Dragon born and it keeps showing errors at the end of the process of both it asked me what files do I want to archive
My dlc content contained deleted files that can not be undeleted. Will they be replaced? Is this something I should be concerned with? If so is there a fix? Is that what your talking about in your pinned comment? Thanks for your series it has been instrumental to a total modding noob.
I did everything, and LOOT says I'm in the clear. Just wondering if there was anything I needed to do with the files in the overwrite section? Also instead of white thunderbolts, I had the yellow ones with the minus sign instead. I know what they mean, but after trying several different methods I can't seem to get them to turn white, just yellow with the minus sign.
If there are no plugins in overwrite it should all just be the SSEEdit Cashe, that is safe to delete. Hmm, unless MO2 is messing something up, which is unlikely, (I've never had any issues with the MO2 flags) they should be the white Lightning bolts because the DLC plugins are just one file and they're being overwritten. Make sure you're looking at the right thing. "DLC: DLCName" "non-mo" is what you should see them on.
@@aielias89 I'm really sorry, I just noticed that I'm actually modding Oldrim on MO2. That might be why my thunderbolts are just minus than white. But yeah, I do have both a cache and backup folders in the overwrite folder. So deleting them should be fine since i already set up a backup.
@@aielias89 i highly doubt you will see this comment but if im using this guide for fallout 4 and the dlcs have more then just to 1 .esm file for example, some .ba2 files, should i add those to the data dlc mod you added in?
Skyrim SE won't update if I turn off auto update on Steam and never load skyrim normally correct i.e running Skyrim through MO2 doesn't count as running Skyrim off Steam's client correct?
I mean, Skyrim LE is not something you can buy any more so modding community support is really fading. That being said, you should still be able to clean it with Tes5Edit
Really helpful guide but i have one question. when I cleaned all the dlc i notice some files in the overwrite folder, are they important or can I just delete them?

If you do not wish to see this warning and understand how to handle your Overwrite directory, you can open the Mod Organizer settings and disable this warning under the "Diagnose Basic" plugin configuration."
Is this anything to worry about? I've gone ahead and turned off the warning in the settings like it suggested.
What about the creation club things he add there like fish, survival, curios and adv? do I clean those too?
this is the 1st time i had to set 0.25 video speed to actually follow what you did there haha you're fast man! But it keeps your video length short & efficient. Nice 1 - it get's more complex with each video but you explain it so well tnx man. Even the noobiest noob could follow i am sure! (Like me)... :)
Creating a cleaned DLC mod is brilliant.
So, the dawnguard clean, just clean it twice? Its all that I need right now! Hahahahha!
Perfect video man! Thank you so much for this.

@@Stoic_Boom Hey man! You have to clean it 2 times. One just like every other one and the second time, follow these steps.

thank you for making these videos for the greater good of the skyrim modding community. i really appreciate these tutorials

JUAT WANTED TO SAY THANKS FOR ALL YOUR VIDEOS
Thank you SO much for this awesome series! It has been a huge help for me!
This serie is really great, Thank you for the help, I definitely subscribed to your channel
@@aielias89 indeed it is ;) (Wilburgur is my Hero)
Some mods that are stated by loot to be dirty are not supposed to be cleaned. Learned it the hard way.
Thanks for the videos very helpful although this one seems quite fast I'll try and follow along a little bit later after I've grabbed a bunch more mods.
You are a GOD! Thank you so much for your clear, concise guides!
Your video tutorials have been so helpful, thank you so much.
I consider this man my modding sensei
May I give some tiny advice? If you're able to, run a spell checker on the titles and captions you have in your video.
Except for the dlcs, no installed mod appear on the list. what can I do?
I believed i followed all the step in your videos but when i run SSEEditquickautoclean i get this message "Fatal: Could not open registry Key:\SOFTWARE\Bethesda\Softworks\SkyremSpecialEdition\ This can happen after Steam Updates, run the games launcher to restore registry settings." I try it and still gives me the same message.
On the sseedit when I’m cleaning a plug-in it stays in the still applying filter and has been going for 20 minutes
Excellent video. I wish you would include how to install on Vortex. Keep up the great work!
MO2 is the better choice. Installation is in the very beginning of the playlist.
8:15 Maybe im a total idiot but my MO2 says file conflicts when i activate the Cleaned Masters and the lightning icon is not white but its yellow.
So glad I found your videos! They are very helpful. May I ask what you think of Vortex as a mod manager?
Thanks! Vortex is better than NMM but MO2 is still the best if you want to be serious about modding. :)
Thank you man, I have learned a lot. I just threw Vortex in file 13..
electricity was cut suddenly when im cleaning hearthfires.esm. after i tried to clean again it "assertion failure (P:\TES5Edit\wblmplementation.pas, line 10181)" showed up during the cleaning. then i deleted hearthfires.esm manually and verified files at steam (steam reinstalled hearthfires.esm and other .esm files those i cleaned before hearthfires.esm). so i started cleaning all over but same issue happened again, "assertion failure (P:\TES5Edit\wblmplementation.pas, line 10181)" showed up.
No clue man. My only advise is to try reinstalling SSEEdit and if it still persists, reinstalling the other masters as well.
Thanks man it really helped me ! subscribed !
EDIT:
And now suddenly, as if by magic, everything is back to normal again.

Now I’m here T^T you’re my only hope.
Is there anything else should I do my research on or I’m good to start modding the game?
Ai Elias okay, thanks a lot. I’m looking forward to your future videos.
Wow Thank Goodness we Have A Pause button On your Great Videos... Physically A Work out....lol
God bless you! Your guide is absolutely awesome!
How did you move the mods and also the the categories like that bug fixes where the name of what it does is on top
Big big thanks to you , you're amazing man!
Great guide, easy to understand :) But I think it would be a good idea to tell/show that Dawnguard.esm needs manual cleaning aswell ;)
Is auto clean really all you need to clean plugins? I feel like that's too good to be true to just run auto clean on all dirty plugins and boom things are fixed...Are they any situations where you have to manually clean a plugin?
Excellent video. Really helped me out. I have one question though. What do you do if it leaves cache files in the overwrite folder?
I may be mistaken, but my grandpappy taught me that ITM is a problem when:
Mod 1 - modifies some stuff
Mod 2 - has ITM records for the same stuff
= anything Mod 1 modified that is ITM in 2 is going to be overwritten.
I went back and watched your videos but i cant seem to find were you make this change.
also wondering
Can I just download and clean the plugin of the mod first before installing it into my game?
I have over 5000 itm records and 1 or 2 udr's so I hope this can help fix my very unstable game will update if it does.
@@aielias89 Wow, it was actually RS Children, I am impressed! Thanks man, you really helped me out!
8:12 why do i see "DLC Clean" and "Resources" and "Bug Fixes" in your mod list?
Does the same process need to date be saved when cleaning dirty plugins for creation club mods?
Not working keeps saying fatal error and couldnt find ini
What do you do with whats left in the overwrite folder
What do I do with the files that popped up in my Overwrite after cleaning?
Are 'Bashed Patches' still required for heavily modded Skyrim? I'm aiming on running between 50-100.
@@aielias89 How do I get there?
@@aielias89 I posted it. my screen name is Von Schlebin
My dlc content contained deleted files that can not be undeleted. Will they be replaced? Is this something I should be concerned with? If so is there a fix? Is that what your talking about in your pinned comment? Thanks for your series it has been instrumental to a total modding noob.
Are you able to do all this with Vortex?
Mo2 does not show sseedit exe. It is in a folder underneath a folder i made for loot i don't understand.
What do we do with the Overwrite files?
Can you select more than one plugin in the checklist and have SSEEdit clean them all at once?
Is this guide applicable for oldrim? Thanks for the informative guides!
Skyrim SE won't update if I turn off auto update on Steam and never load skyrim normally correct i.e running Skyrim through MO2 doesn't count as running Skyrim off Steam's client correct?
If you turn off auto update in steam, the game will only update once you tell it to in steam's download tab.
Anyway to clean dlc on old skyrim? Tes5 is no longer a thing
I mean, Skyrim LE is not something you can buy any more so modding community support is really fading. That being said, you should still be able to clean it with Tes5Edit
Another solid video.
Thank you sir. Very helpful.
Really helpful guide but i have one question. when I cleaned all the dlc i notice some files in the overwrite folder, are they
important or can I just delete them?
This video could help th-cam.com/video/ayENOv0dosY/w-d-xo.html
If there are no esms in there it should all just be the SSEEdit Cashe, it is safe to delete that.
do i have to make an archive every time after cleaning plugins? loot says its fixed and i didnt create one yet and place it in mo2 so its fine?
Nice video bro, thank you so much
