    Great Video!!!!!!!!! This has help me out today at the Gym. Been working on some projects that for some reason. I can not do, but today I did all of them. Because of the tips I got from this Video.

    I've always thought gastons were exactly as this video described. I recently heard from a very reliable climber that a true gaston is when the elbow and pushing force is directed upward. Can someone provide a bit of clarity on this? Much appreciated!

      A gaston is a reverse sidepull, excactly as in this video. Never heard or read or saw it any other way.
      So, you mean if you grab a high undercling the other way? That would be gastoning the undercling ;)
      There is no "true" or "false" gaston. Probably the climber was just kidding or messing with you, or it is his or her personal opignion.
