    Fun fact: mass market paperbooks don't need to be returned, only their cover is given back: that's why is written in one of the first pages or the last "If you purchased this book without a cover, you should be aware that this book is stolen property. It was reported as unsold and destroyed to the publisher, and neither the author nor the publisher has received any payment for this stripped book".

    As a historian of the book, that was a damn fine overview. Love this channel.

    Interesting as this was, I feel there is more to the story. Part 2 anyone?
    Thanks Moid for the new chapter on the channel.

    I still am so surprised this channel doesn’t have over 100K subs. I do believe he’ll get there though. Great stuff.

    Traditional, original vellum is also really _only_ made from the skin of aborted calf tissue or uterine tissue. It's marvellous stuff -- but how it's made isn't pretty.

    I went to Hay on Wye one year and they were trying to get ebooks banned. Whilst I understand that they want books to be in the traditional format my mother uses a kindle simply because she can increase the text size due to her failing eyesight.
    Incidentally are you going to review any new books soon? I’ve bought most of your old reviews.

    Love reading but I live my Kindle just as much. So many books in one device and with the new Scribe I get to add notes into my favorite books. I still have some favorite dead tree books but most of my everyday reading is done on my Kindle.

    Late to the party & I love the info. Just like to point out that it is currently the 21st century not the 20th. It's okay, you're only late by a quarter century. Yeah, I had to be that person 😃

    • @MediaDeathCult
      @MediaDeathCult  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Do you mean around the 11 minute mark?
      I meant the 20th Century, that's the period I was referring to, AND the here and now

      @@MediaDeathCult That makes much more sense. I heard you say that but I honestly didn't hear a pause to clarify a separation between the two. Completely my fault & a problem when you listen to everything at 2x speed lol
      Congrats on the move BTW!!! I hope that you, the wife & dogs all settled nicely?!?
      I'm sad that your video quantity has gone down to the general public the last 6 months but you definitely succeeded in raising the quality of the content you're putting out there!!!
