- "Phil Pirages, proprietor of Phillip J. Pirages Fine Book and Manuscripts, examines book collecting, how and why people collect, why they should collect books, and the role of the bookseller in collaborating with collectors, using examples from the current Pirages inventory to illustrate the special pleasures derived from an appreciation of a book's binding, printing, illustration, and provenance.

This is all extremely interesting stuff. I never thought there could be so much depth in the collection of books. I really love the way you explain it.
I just kept nodding all throughout the video. He gets so many points right about book collectors. I'm starting mine...and the sky is the limit for me! My dream is to have a single room dedicated to my collection, all the walls filled to the brim with classical, contemporary, philosophical and fictional works.
Very interesting video! Thanks for taking the time to create and post!
I love antique books.
AW MAN! I LOVE this! I LOVE BOOKS! This is for me. I could see myself getting lost in collecting antigue books. I collect books now but not even close to this level.
Great video. Thanks. Makes my collection look like a dime-novel pack.
Ah, a collector "collects" but rarely sells. I have several antiquarian volumes, nothing of great value, but I still would hate to have to sell any of them: even though I can't pay my mortgage & might lose my home. Appreciation, understanding but no opportunity: story of my life.
Great video. Thanks.
Excellent, informative video. Thank you for posting this!
I liked this video very much, thank you for uploading it ;)
I like this you are a master of collect book
Do you want to sell any?
Thanks,
PJP
Your videos are truly a blessing. absolutely fantastic, full of information and the way you present them it really shows the caring and affection towards these treasures.
Can I post them on my bookbinding blog? With due credits, of course.
Would you ever find such books on e-bay?
I have a lot of leather bound books. I'm kind of a big deal.
