Good sound but should't those speakers have magnetic grills so we don't have to see those ugly holes at the front? We are not talking about budget speakers here.
they were very clean sounding, I would have liked to have heard them with some different music but that's show timing depending on when you go in a room. ProAc had a room last year at the Indulgence show - now called Festival of Sound that I will be covering so should hopefully get to hear them again

It's a shame that at these audio demos they don't at least put some base dampening between the speakers. I'm sure these speakers would sound a lot better like your kef's. proac is a good speaker company.
A lot of the rooms was decked out with a lot of acoustic treatments. You cant compare these recordings to the ones I do in my listening room its a different recording setup - my mobile setup is not as good because it needs to be mobile. I want to do better sound recordings at shows. I have come up with a plan to make my mobile recording rig much better - but I havent bought the parts or tested it yet so its just a good idea at the minute
The biggest benefit is having the dampening in between the speakers. The other problem I see is that they have the speakers so far apart so they can have the company logos right smack in the middle to advertise their products. Even with an average sound recording equipment we should at least have a facsimile of what the speakers can do. But, yes I'm all for better mobile recordings.
