It's because there is NO SUCH USAGE like OPPOSITE TO in English. It isn't CONVENTIONAL.
Secondly...
Remembering is easy and effortless, whereas recollecting needs deliberate effort to retrieve a memory.
Note: Do you recollect me is an incorrect question.
Instead, you can ask.. "Can you recollect my name?"
