DIY Turkey Tail Holder/ Plaque Mount

Just in time for Thanksgiving! lol Follow along as I show you how to make your own turkey tail mounting kit. This plaque is made by using my late grandfathers old templates. Back in his day, he made tons of these for friends and family who shot a turkey and wanted to display the tail and beard. While using his old templates, I put a little extra flair to make it my own by adding the West Virginia and turkey engraving on the front with my CNC router. This plaque is made from walnut, but these look great in all different sorts of wood species. Thanks for watching and good luck hunting those thunder chickens!

You are very talented! Your Grandfather would be so proud. He taught you well. Truthfully, I’ve never been turkey hunting but my husband is part of a long line of hunters and is passing that on to our children. I’d love to surprise him with such a beautiful piece that he could display in his man cave.

Obi that is very pretty. What’s the chances that I go looking for ideas to try and make me something for my first turkey. And find yours that has West Virginia on the front. Maybe that’s some of the reason I like this so much. Cause WV is home born and raised left and came back. This is also where after many years of trial and error took my first turkey. You holder and workmanship looks incredible.
