Nice job. But i fail to understand how come the brass eyelets are looking so yellow( no oxidation?)

Hey friend. Thanks so much for watching. It really depends on a few factors. Oxidation doesn't just happen, it needs certain criteria. A combination of moisture, air and salt or acid causes the reaction. So if the boots are well taken care of and cleaned regularly, oxidation does not have to take place. That's the beauty of taking care of what you own. I hope that makes sense!

Leave the laces out. Oil the tongue. I oil both sides of the tongue. Oil the sticking then let it set on the sticking. Oil the leather heal too.

Hey! Thanks for sharing. Smart to oil both sides of the tongue! What oil do you use? Have you ever had any issues with the oil deteriorating the glue and having your leather heel come off? I've heard it happen when using oil.

@@evumies I've never had a leather heal come off (from) oiling. I've had them Crack shrink and split from not. Oiling the stitches waterproofs them and protects them. It doesn't damage them.

@@evumies I use Huberds boot grease. If I'm out of that at the time I'll use mink oil. I used to use snow seal in The winter months. If you have Gortex boots I prefer Huberds

@@AnthonyPryor-q1e Awesome. Thanks for sharing. I haven't tried Huberds yet but I have heard it's a really good defense for the elements. Love it!

Why did you wipe mud on those boots instead of wearing them? Cool video just phony

Hey friend! I appreciate the comment. I can't actually wear these boots, lol. They're a women's size 6 and I'm a men's size 10. Unfortunately I was unable to do so. My goal is to teach people how to clean their leather, and this was the best way to mock up what it would be like so that people would know how to do so. I picked these boots up for the brand name. Hope that makes sense. Thanks so much for watching!

Haha. I know what you mean. They're definitely more functional than fashionable. Lol. The Vibram lug sole is pretty epic though. Thanks so much for watching!
