I don't want to do screen printing shirt but to make or produce origanal garment designs, patterns, fabric ect. not wanting to use a site were they have a pre made garment. what is your advice this form of business? Also if your starting a site from scratch how would you keep it updated? Thanks

But anyways I have a great name, really cool designs & a great/powerful message behind it. The question I need answer is about inventory. What's the correct or a good amount of inventory should a clothing line owner have as a beginning brand? I don't want to but huge volumes and not sell either do I want to have a lot of sell but know inventory..? I need your help John
Start with a small amount. Selling out is good, it means there is demand. If you start with a large amount, make a contingency plan on how you will sell it if no demand exists. Or plan to make it a marketing expense.
on select t-shirt only. I suggest finding a manufacturer who will sell you tees for around 2-3 dollars each. and you can get about 1000 tags for 3 dollars.

+osjaul I work with graphic artists for prints and designs. For illustrations we make of new products I use illustrator and photoshop for photo edits/ ads and marketing.

jayd dow well you will need to get a web designer for that. They will set it up n tell you how to update your own website whenever you get more items.

I've encountered design patents cost anywhere from $1000 to $2500 (Legal Zoom is way cheaper than hiring an attorney)
