I love this layout and would LOVE to use this in my van (I've purchased the course so I'm good there - and I'm learning A LOT). My one issue with this layout is not being able to access the front driving area without going outside - as a solo female soon to be van dweller - Is this even an issue - safety-wise??? So, I'm weighing that issue with how much I love the layout - decisions decisions!!! LOL Thank you for the walkthrough - amazing BUILD!!!!
Thanks Kara... Yes can access is certainly something to consider if solo female vanlifing. Sadly people can be weird and it's good to just be able to leave without going outside of the van. I know some people who have put a front kitchen - but then have a big hatch they can get through. Other way is a slim door - but it depends on the seats.
I have the same consideration and have considered rejigging layout to have units movable on casters so they could fit in the centre. Maybe have the cooker unit removable. Even if you have to use an under cupboard gas bottle or a portable induction top.
Interesting thanks! using precious space taken by showers is a conundrum, yours is a very good solution but my favourite I have seen is some one who made like a wardrobe/storage unit that swung into the shower and swung out into the living space temporarily when you needed to shower.
Very efficient construction. And a very well thought out layout and design. Furthermore, a perfect combination of a homely and modern atmosphere. This speaks of years of experience of living in a van and building it yourself!
I personally am never going to be ok cooking/ prepping food on top of the area where I use the toilet, even if there is a couple inch wood slab over it. 😅For people that’s not bothered by this, I think it’s a great & smart setup!!
Then you are better off not having an internal toilet.. in such a small space as a van the difference of in a separate closet, or as in this design, is pretty much imaginary.
This RV is HARD! 😂😂 had to get that out the way! I love it I love it..The color scheme is Insane. I do agree about the stove. I would change the dining chairs. The coffee nook, OMG! I hope they do a 2 bed 1 1/2 bath with loft over master bed. SOLD
I really ❤your shower solution. Such a clever design! The slatted wall is something I've been planning for my back doors for a long time, but haven't implemented yet. Thanks for showing me what it will look like down the road. The only thing I would change is the lack of access to the driver's area. But everything else is really well thought out and beautifully implemented. The decentralized lighting and the wooden materials make a very cozy atmosphere.
Interesting build. The problem is you lost the ability to pass from front to back. Every time you want to go to the back area you have to go outside which is a pain.
can you do a double decker bus and do the video for dummy's so i can copy we want a tri axle coach . i have got to do it all by my self and i need help. ps its got to be 24 v

Also, consider one morning waking up with really bad weather, and having to go out to get in the driving seat...
swap the kitchen unit and the fridge unit around, then you just need to step on and over fridge to get in the cab

Yes, the wardrobe shower system is a good one too! For me I really value the expansive space - so not all that keen on a wardrobe either!
I love the setup of the shower compartment ❤
It is my favorite feature for sure!
Wow! You hit this one out of the park, Nate! This is the coolest van build I’ve ever seen you do. Wish I could buy it.
thank you!
Very cool shower and bed extension idea. Thoughtful details with the table and cushions folding
Thanks!
Best shower solution I've ever seen!
Thanks!
This shower idea is just brilliant!
This layout deserves more views!
Damn straight! 😂
Brilliant build, Nate. Really well thought-out! Especially like that shower set up.

Nate, I am so inspired, am retired, a teacher, and i see it but the equipment to do it is what costs…but still, amazing…
The shower is genius!

Esta genial la idea de la ducha, un saludo desde Colombia!
its actually great..having access to cab area would have topped it. ❤
Wondering why you blocked the back door window irreversibly 😢

❤ thanks for the show, it's really amazing Van to live in

Thanks, glad you like the ideas!
That shower 'room' is wonderfull! wow!
Next level! Used your original conversion guide to build our van… this makes me want to build a whole new van:) thanks for great info!
Amazing! Times have changed... but honestly, the old van was gold. Would not mind having it again.
@@NateMurphy couldn’t have have done it without your info! Your work is fantastic
Superb, and nicely explained. Easy to see that you have lots of experience with building vans. 👍
Thank you!
What a great video very instructive

I have done 5 years full time, was never a huge issue (previous vans had a hatch - but I almost never used it).
I think it’s mostly a safety issue for solo female travelers. Guys not so much.
Best shotgun shower setup by far
Great to see how you’ve refined your previous designs and building skills Nate, great work.
Thanks! And thanks for tuning in!
Great looking van
Excellent
The shower is awesome
Awesomenessful Nate!
Thanks!
Trying to work out how to have the bed slide out the back with my wife on to create a bed sun deck without having to get her off. Any thoughts.
Nate, do u have any for sale or would you build one for me???
Great tour , van packed with hidden features!
Thanks Darren!
Awesome bud 👌🏻
Great shower. I live in a RAM Promaster City and do chemical washs.
Thanks! I think its a neat solution to the 'shower problem'

This is cool. I like it 👍
Where did you get those vertical panels that are on the both sides of the walls...
Nice looking....good job
I think Nature Wall.. but there are a few suppliers.
Great video again mate. What solar panels did you use. Thanks
these are Perlight mono panels
@@NateMurphy thanks
😊
Is there a way to attach a hammock that a 180lb man could fit? Not this van Thanks 😊
Yeah, should generally be fine.
Here i was marvelling at your amazing van design but lost all respect when i saw PG tips branded tea bags. Shame on you
