Guys, I watched it. You'll love every second of it! Even though there are scenes which aren't accurate to what Father Amorth had experienced, but the scares are so good. Plus Russell Crowe's acting is the best. No boring scene ever!

The exorcist prays the demon out. You cannot physically force a demon out of a person's body. An exorcist has to get permission from his bishop first to perform one. He summons the demon ( in the name of Christ) and follows the ritual. Some exorcism cases take months, even years before complete liberation of the person.
Shows the priest, the demon, the priest finding hidden passage to bigger demon, the bigger demon possessing the priest and the priest sitting on the thrown with the staff after being possessed. Soooo, the whole movie was just shown.

All I know about the priest is he's done hundreds of exorcisms. He said out of so many only one to him was a demon or the devil. He mentions it was the only time he was truly scared too. I can't wait for this later in the week!
That is why the Exorcist Priest is the most scariest and dangerous profession of all that nobody would want to be an Exorcist who fought on real-life hardcore Demons. It is not simply just an act or a session that you usually perform without any repercussions because the Devil has the ability to fight back at the times when you do not know. Faith and Bravery is the main weapon of the Exorcist Priest.
I mean it’s a trap anyway… they intentionally put a scapegoat in there for experiments and everything revolves around that… you can call it skynet or whatever…
I've noticed that the "demons" are usually exorcised while in bed. They must be pretty lazy. I think you could just walk away and leave them to it. Just throw a goat in every now and then. I've noticed they like goats aswell.
Crowe, in a horror film????? This is got to be one of the top films of the year or just a sign his time at the top is over. The weight surprises me but it's his life not mine. "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World" remains one of my favorite films, a good old fashion adventure story!
This had better be good. This type of movie is a difficult one to REALLY get right. They assume it is easy because of the inherent horror of the topic of possession. This misconception has been the downfall of many a film on this subject.

The exorcist prays the demon out. You cannot physically force a demon out of a person's body.
An exorcist has to get permission from his bishop first to perform one. He summons the demon ( in the name of Christ) and follows the ritual. Some exorcism cases take months, even years before complete liberation of the person.

All I know about the priest is he's done hundreds of exorcisms. He said out of so many only one to him was a demon or the devil. He mentions it was the only time he was truly scared too. I can't wait for this later in the week!

This had better be good. This type of movie is a difficult one to REALLY get right. They assume it is easy because of the inherent horror of the topic of possession. This misconception has been the downfall of many a film on this subject.
