Speaking as a native Italian the effort Russell Crowe is putting into getting the language right, but most of all the Italian accent when speaking English is really impressive. I commend his performance.

Personally I thought this is the best Exorcism movie since the original Exorcist. It's a well rounded movie that delivers on multiple levels, a great Russel performance, great effects, some good twists on the Exorcism tropes and supporting cast. In the very least it's worth a watch if you like this kind of movies. Hopefully we'll get a sequel.

I've already seen this in the theaters and all I can say is, I never expected to learn anything from this but I did learn some that for some reason, I can't forget them maybe because I had those thoughts lingering in my mind but never really bothered to seek answers but I got it from this movie haha. The problem lies in that Hollywood writers are generally crap these days and can no longer write a good horror movie. So they fill them with “jump scares” and over the top gore, and call it “scary”. And I dreamed one night that I visited some ruin of a church, and this creepy dark voice told me to kill the priest and the nuns... I refused.. And as I was about to wake up, a pale hand had my cross between the fingers and tried to shove it in my mouth as the voice said: You want Jesus don't you! I can tell you I woke up feeling quite stressed....
I had to look up the definition of the word 'Jeer'. And for those that dont know as well, heres the definition: "make rude and mocking remarks, typically in a loud voice"

I saw the movie in french. In this version, the possesed boy speaks in French while the Father Amorth speaks in italian. I'm so disappointed to see that it's not the same in the original one 😂. Fortunately, the Father says later in the movie that his worth nightmare is to see France win the Football World's football cup, it's enouph to satisfied my little pride of French. Too bad it's to tease us.

I get as far as innocence is concerned, the man getting possessed wasn't something he wanted and it just happened to him so he's innocent in that regard. I mean innocent as far as our nature, humans VS animals. Humans are sinful and guilty creatures and animals are sinless and innocent. So when the sinless die over the sinful it's just kinda hard to think about. I hope I'm not coming off as like a vegan or tree hugger, I just don't like when animals get a raw deal.
