Great reaction! Auri doesn't get a lot of love on TH-cam, so I appreciate finding them pop up on your channel. I don't think you mentioned it, so I'm not sure if you know that Troy is also from Nightwish. He's the multi-instrumentalist who also does some vocals. He is the male voice at the end of "Perfume of the Timeless." This is probably closer to what Nightwish was supposed to be initially, as Tuomas envisioned an acoustic folk band when he first came up with the idea for forming a band. It was only after attending a Metallica concert and being blown away, that he became inspired to do metal instead.
I love Auri. Both their albums are great. This is one of my favourites, as I love the blending of Troy and Johanna's voices. Not sure who wrote this one, but unlike Nightwish Tuomas, Troy and Johanna share the songwriting for Auri.
What is great in Auri is that the songs can be both listened as an "atmospheric" music (when you are doing something else) or as a "deep" music (when you concentrate on it). The sounds (both instruments and voices) are diverse and fabulous, the composition is full of surprises, free of academic rules (which is what the group wants), out of genres.
I love Auri. Johanna is Tuomas's wife and they first worked together on his Scrooge McDuck album, a Lifetime of Adventure. There is a TH-cam video that you might like to react to. On that she was also joined by Johanna Livanainen and together the pair produced an album called Altamullen Road. She (Johanna K) is also a very talented violinist and I'm pretty sure is the one playing the violin solo. The voice is by Troy, the multi-instrumentalist from Nightwish. He also wrote this song and it was the starting point for Auri. All 3 members of the band write and contribute to their music, though Tuomas writes more than the other two. On the second Auri album they were also joined by Kai, the drummer from Nightwish. It's a bit of a rabbit hole you have stumbled into!
Oh, this is different from "Nightwish", at least this song. This song deserves to be listened to with my eyes closed. That way I can feel it better. String instruments and keyboard sound great, they make me feel calm or at most nostalgic but in a positive, beautiful, painless way. Thanks for sharing, it was a discovery for me, I will dive in their music. Take care Michael 👋

Troy wrote this and I'm sure the other two had some input into how it finally sounded.
I am glad you reacted to this, Michael, it is so incredibly beautiful.

I love Auri. This song will be played at my wake. Thank you for this reaction.
Night 13 for me, but this would also do quite nicely.

Auri is my favorite band... Please react to "Pearl diving". Oh, gosh, it's... Pure magic!
And, of course, thank you for this reaction.
