  • Located in the heart of downtown. Two stories of shops mean there are lots of options and if you love movies, head to Landmark Cinemas as their lineups are rarely long. Check out the freshly renovated ELEVATE food fare for some tasty fuel between shops.

This mall was originally built to accommodate a theater and an Eatons outlet . Eatons has long since gone out out of buisiness.
Its really not that big as i remember it , but that was 25 years ago now...perhaps they expanded

I was in there last weekend, and wow, it has totally died since 2019. The place barely has any stores left now. I'm sure the pandemic didn't help matters.

Yeah construction has been going on for the past few years in downtown Edmonton. Don't know when it'll end. All the stores on the West side have been shut down now since I've been there, except Shopper's Drug Mart has really expanded.

They must have expanded this mall because it wasnt this big originally.
And the skywalk takes you to edmonton centre another mall as i remember it 20 years ago, tho

Like I was saying downtown Edmonton during winter months like October there’s a lot of people using the overpass above the streets everything connected so beautifully, in the summer the streets are packed well the sun is shining
Ice district is the community, each tower has its own name , some hotels in the mix that all connected to the main mall :)

Have you got any people that normally walk the streets like in most cities..at all ?? your commercial city centre is empty according to this video, unless you were there at 6am on Sunday....
p.s. Ice district (is that the name? ) looks great, but again..where are the people??

@@travelnorthamerica oh, I understand now! I apologise for having misjudged what i saw in the video, I am from Vancouver and never been outside BC yet, so I would like to learn more about other cities. Could you tell me, what are the areas within Edmonton, that you recommend(in your opinion) as affordable to rent yet safe and close to supermarkets/amenities/cafes/livable? Because Vancouver is so expensive i now keep my mind open to what other Can. Cities may have to offer in the future.. Is it difficult for a newcomer to get a job in retail or customer service in Edm.? Do you like your public transit?
