Everyone is trying to put the fear in me and get me to buckle and pay a solicitor. It remains to be seen what is the correct way to proceed.

It's not hard taking your ex to court a simple doc to sign and a court cost of around £100 Unlike what you see on shows there are only a few rules to follow, all sides must submit what they are going to say beforehand (she has to do the same) and supply the judge and the ex what you're going to say. The most important thing is no matter how untrue the other sides legal team says lies about you just shut up and wait your turn till the judge gives you the nod to do so, that's all I've got. Why is the queen not supplying the funds for legal aid? I personally feel that the money the queen lives on and her family should be supplied to the legal system for poor people! I'm not implying the queen needs to give up everything but she should make sure her countrymen have legal due process!
Because the Queen does not make the decisions. Her Government- ie the people elected by the people who make the decisions. The cost of a properly funded legal system way exceeds what the Queen has. But legal aid is not a sexy vote winner
