Good video per the norm. I luv the Smallies too. Like u they are my 2nd favorite. I'm a moving water guy. You may have some and sure you do but we do well in our Smallmouth waters on the 1/4 ounce Joe's Flies. Good luck
AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME!! 😁👍 FLIPPIN GORGEOUS FISH MAN! And, all on a spinner? NICELY done 😁👌 Great vid as always my friend, plz keep em comin. Peace ✌😎
That small trout you caught looks like a hybrid that's bread here in Australia called the cheatah trout, not sure if they anywhere else but I'm its known but rare that wild browns will accidentally fertilize the wrong eggs (e.g rainbow trout ), not positive it was one but looks very similar
Love the posts, thanks! A great debate question...Something I struggle with is identifying the differences between stocked and native trout. I typically look at the size and color of the trout, but I'm really not sure if this is accurate. Any thoughts?
Colors, markings, fins, size are all things I look at when trying to determine stocked vs native/wild. Too much to type into a comment but maybe a good idea for a future video.
Wonder if you have any tips in saving your line if it should get tangled in weeds or other debris in the water? In the summer months weeds & moss gets thick in the waterways where we fish & I lose more hooks & lures trying to untangle them.
29 video in. I started very late in the day... I can watch more tomorrow (if as you've said, you release videos every week, I'm more than 1/2 way through a year at least).
Great angle with the camera - I love watching the tip of the rod get pulled when the spinner gets hit. That's definitely a fun time. Thanks for your "work" (nice work if you can get it!) and keep it coming.
@@FishHawk I figured so. My wife and I are from central and Southern wv. Her from Braxton Co, and most of my life in Raleigh Co. Your videos remind us of home, as we reside in NE Tennessee now. Thank you for that, and awesome videos!
How are you liking the rod? How does it compare to the st croix avid? I currently have a okuma celilo and I’m happy with it, I used it back to back with a st croix avid and I liked the okuma more. I’m thinking of upgrading my rod, it’s between yours and the st croix premier series
Well, I’ll put it to ya like this… I designed the rod exactly how I wanted it. From the action, to the length, to the grips, to the guides, etc. So with that being said, I love my rod more than any other.
I use 6 lb test line and a light action rod. A light/ultralight rod flexes a lot and will help cast light lures. The light line also helps casting distance.
Can you pls do a video comparing Berkeley trout worms to Lelands trout worms? The area I fish has a no scent regulation and I’m looking for a good substitute
Nice looking creek! What part of the country are fishing?! I'm over here in Northwest Arkansas. So many good waterways. The Buffalo, The Kings, The Illinois.
Out of curiosity, how much do you tighten your drag? Ive been watching ur videos for about a year, maybe a lil more. I TRULY appreciate you telling us your gear each video, even when you change the lure or lose one... But the drag, Its a curiosity Ive had for a lil bit now. Thanks for the content. Also, have you ever fished the Sacramento river in CA?
Sorry for the random comments! My 6 year old son watches your videos AND apparently comments on them :D or it could be my husband but I'm sure he would've written something different LOL

I don't really fish much where there are weeds growing. But you may just have to use heavier line. Or try braided line. It's very strong.
Out last Sunday 2inch dark shad caught a 26inch brown northern Lehigh river Pennsylvania
Dangggggg! Congrats!
@@FishHawk keep up the good work 💪

Somebody give smallies that live in creek another name. They fight way more vigorous than one in lake or pond.
True that!
I've always called 'em skinny water smallies, or creekers.
Black Rooster tail, the secret is out.
That tiny trout was definitely a rainbow
I kind wish he would make videos of him catching bigger game fish
Great angle with the camera - I love watching the tip of the rod get pulled when the spinner gets hit. That's definitely a fun time. Thanks for your "work" (nice work if you can get it!) and keep it coming.

Catch some big ones
Smallies, rainbows and browns??? Great stuff brother! I've been several years now trying to pinpoint where in WV you are lol.
Thanks bro! I'm in the eastern panhandle

Great vid! Nice catches! Ditch the intro music, just go right into the fishing greatness!
Love that feeling when a trout smashes that lure!
The trouts are beautiful, the bass that you caught are tiny. I caught a 16 in small mouth bass today. Man, did put up a fight!!!🎣
Awesome video dude! Love this type of fishing! Makes me want to be out there right now!🤙🏻🔥
Keep up the great work!
The small fish you caught is a native brook trout..
No, the small one was a Native Rainbow, I promise you it was
That tiny little fish u caught was most likely a tiger trout
If you have extra fishing rod send it to me bro . Btw great work. Keep it up
Hey dude I’m early can I get a pin? Love your stuff 💕 you inspire me

@@FishHawk good points! Is there going to be a 2 piece version in the future?
Possibly but haven’t really thought about it. I much prefer 1 piece rods.
@@FishHawk sorry for all the questions, but what are the advantages of a light rod vs an ultra light?
Keep up the good work man
Awesome stuff why can't I cast my rooster tail that far any tips...BTW I used ur gulp minnow idea on trout magnet hook and was nailing fish....
I use 6 lb test line and a light action rod. A light/ultralight rod flexes a lot and will help cast light lures. The light line also helps casting distance.
No better feeling than feeling your rod take the hit 🤙 good job and great catches 🎣

Great vid. And love the branded hat but you need to represent. Maybe a WVU pin or neck gator. Haha
Stockers
Excited to see what this video has for us.
Keep them coming my friend!

Do you ever do catch and cooks , I have no idea how to cook a trout .
Love fishing small streams for trout and smallmouth. Keep up the good work. We make videos as will. Check us out
Love your videos! Where did you get your intro music?
Thanks! youtube audio library
Great video! Just wondering how do you typically find these type of streams? Do you find them off the DNR?
yes, google maps, DNR websites, etc.
@@FishHawk thanks
ive heard they rub there jaws when building there redds to spawn in not sure if thats true i dont have much bass round me in BC
interesting
Try blue fox silver 2 size or CP Swing 3 size.
