"Tick tock tick tock. They have infringed upon my trademark for some ridiculous kiddie app where the masses just follow trends, dance, or perform all around tomfoolery."
I think the Clock King is at his best as a Thief with a seemingly supernatural, yet self taught ability to keep track of time. He doesn't need to be a dangerous villain, a good fighter, a goofy inventor or anyone's nemesis. He just needs to be _the_ tactical genius you want leading your heists. And give him the B:BatB costume as a guilty pleasure. Maybe he steals it from a museum.
I like how he was good at fighting in the BTAS episode though. I think he was the first villain in the show to actually push batmans physical capabilities, which is kinda crazy because at that point he had already fought people like Clayface.
Dude you can't forget about clock king's appearance in The Batman, the one where he has time reversing powers. That episode is one of the most tragic and heartwarming depictions and is still one of my favorite batman episodes today.
Man the Cadmus arc in justice league unlimited was possibly the greatest animated story ever told. All these little things coming together and even a man who is king of time schedule made for a great villain.
@@jakeen229 they will probably never reach that height as Batman and the bat family deserve a spin off instead. Justice league having Batman be smart and challenge Cadmus as well as agree with them on some points like how scary the heroes are is a very great move as Batman is the guy to do it being human but siding with the heroes. Plus the Batman beyond tie in episode is so nice seeing even Amanda waler agree she did bad things but Batman cared most for his fellow man. So may great moments
i still dont really get why people liked jlu so much. i watched it and thought it was garbage compared to the original justice league TAS. the story tried to add too many things and made an uninteresting story that took itself way too seriously. i dunno maybe im missing something but to me the whole cadmus arc just feels like a house put together with duct tape
@@purpleprawler9286 yes you are missing everything as it's a great series connected by all the tas series and small links you blink and you'll miss it scenes. I could go into literally everything like how Cadmus didn't just get duct tape and was a reaction of the actions of super heroes in superman tas on top of Hamilton betraying superman being set up back then and the military wanting to be armed and ready against heroes after seeing the events in justice league. I could mention how lex Luther set up with his plans being braniacs plans saved his life by giving him super powers to cure his body which we also see. Everything has a purpose. That's like saying you hate kingdom hearts and start with kh 3 and say the characters are bland and generic. Justice league unlimited is the 4th series in that order just saying Batman tas and superman tas start the series and batman beyond finishes up this universe and Saying "I saw them I didn't see anything" is a bad excuse as the experiments Cadmus does all are from past experiences batman and superman had to fight like human meta genes and weapons
@@ivanbluecool bro i have watched the other 3 series too im not stupid. im not saying the story itself was bad but it took itself way too seriously. it connects all the other series so horribly too like i understand all the references but they aren't enough to compensate for the shit writing
Clock King may not be famous as Joker or as strong as Bane. But what lacks, he makes it up for in logistical genius and that can be a whole other beast on its own.
Villains like this should be featured in the new Reeves-verse trilogy. Especially if they’ll be more focused on his detective skills. No need to keep recycling the same villains.
Agreed. I would love to see Clock King, The Ventriloquist, and Two-Face. Two-Face is a well known villain and has had big appearances, but he hasnt really had a live action version that does the character justice, and also develops him as a lasting villain. The Tommy Lee Jones version wasnt Two-Face, and while Aaron Eckharts Two-Face was amazing, he died in the same film he first appeared in (while I think his character arc in the film was perfect, I do want to see Two-Face last longer).
Thank you. Finally, some one marched though every available bit of information to piece together an origin of every villian who wore the name Clock King. ⏰ I'm particularly glad that you used material from Batman 66 that revealed that Mad🚈 Hatter and Clock King were brothers.
Honestly, I really like his original silver age costume with the clock helmet and clocks printed all across his suit, even if this costume is very silly.
I love all these one-off Batman villains like the clock king and the ventriloquist. I’m always fascinated when all these really smart characters are usually not metas or supernatural.
I like clock king's simple glasses look, but wouldn't it look smarter if the hands were offset on the right or the left, on the bottom of the glasses , depending on what time he thought was right ? Also, Temple Fugate , in the real world, could've gotten a rescheduled court date, as the court system Is supposed to be lenient in the case of unexpected difficulties.
I know of 1 that this video missed The one from the TV series "the Batman" I can't remember what season or episode but I do remember that he had the ability to reverse time by a few seconds and at the end of the episode he was able to reverse time by about 18 years
Aww man we didn't get a mention of one if my favourite version from the 2004 batman show where he littiraly just has the power of mandom from steel ball run
I would love to see a bio on robotnik from Sonicsatam.since we are probably never going to get a season 3. Like what was the great war and why would anyone trust a black eyed red pupiled evil looking guy?

that BTAS episode with him was insane. That scene when they are on the bikes and time warped. So cool.
I jus watched it a week ago

unlimited imo is one of the most underrated animated shows up there with Batman. You can see they're trying to relive it though Young Justice

Ah the 2004 series. Was he the Clock King though? Or is he more like the Clock King in spirit/theme?
@@tonts5329 Technically, that was the Clock King but he was never referred to as such.
Why are you blurring the words from the comics??
