    Designed by Anudeep Bhandari and Associates, the form of the house goes from modern towards post-modern with straight lines, cantilevers, and linear blocks. At the core of the house lies an inverted traditional courtyard, creating two external courts in the center of the home.
    The front facade is a striking element with a combination of exposed brick and zinc cladding. The exposed brick facade reinstates the main tectonics of construction in North India, an area interspersed with local brick kilns.
    Principal Architect Anudeep Bhandari walks us through this beautiful house in Haryana, which is a contemporary residence rooted in traditional planning.

    Love to see some modern design incorporated with traditional touch. This is why Architects are important to design buildings.

    Buildofy’s game is up fro this video i can say, only thing which was missing is architect himself showing the house, you may add owners review of 30 seconds at the end or 15 sec intro of what they wanted & 15 sec conclusion of what they got, because making a house is a beautiful journey🙏🏼

      Hi there
      This is not a very large building, total built up area is 4,500 sft. It’s set up in a row housing lane of plots size 225sqm each so mostly they have only 1 car parking inside. For this house we have 2 open parkings in front of the main entrance. Since, the house will be used mostly by the couple so space has been designed only for 2 cars as per clients request.
      Regards
      Anudeep Bhandari

    Those sliding shutters with the net is an amazing idea! Loved that! The large windows are wonderful! I didn’t like the front facade. There should have been a balcony there! Why the need for sooo much privacy that it feels like Taliban forced that boring huge wall to be constructed in the front top part of the house! Makes it look like a jail!

    • @dLifeHealthcareFoundation
      @dLifeHealthcareFoundation 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Balcony is a shit concept. Too old school. Never liked any house with balconies -- functional utility ZERO, dust pollution maximal. Balcony fanboyism is ok for Matchbox dwellings -- ie FLATS.

    • @eurekacomment5719
      @eurekacomment5719 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@dLifeHealthcareFoundation Balcony is where all the fun happens. Sitting there enjoying a cup of tea is just bliss. Enjoying the mornings and the cool breeze on the swing and the high view of the street. Enjoying the balcony takes away from the monotony of the inside of the house. I could write a book on why to balcony. :)

    • @kaziidris
      @kaziidris 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I dont totally agree with you. Balcony is a good idea. But the owners were bang on with their requirement of low maintenance. I feel the architect did the right thing of not introducing balconies as Haryana weather is full of dust storms. Great house i must say. Very practical

    • @dLifeHealthcareFoundation
      @dLifeHealthcareFoundation 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@eurekacomment5719 LOL. There's garden and courtyard for sitting and having all the fun. Balcony is for flats. No need to write any book. India's award winning architect who has done projects in 6 countries is doingmy house. He is dead against BALCONY and FALSE Ceilings

    • @eurekacomment5719
      @eurekacomment5719 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dLifeHealthcareFoundation True! Balcony gives a good aerial view of the street, no? Enjoy the sun rise or set...also, it's a good method of light and air entering the house...look at this house...the front is sooo flat and boring...and that area is probably all dark...many houses have nasty looking front wall with no balcony and makes them look like a jail or worse...

    I liked everything except 2 things. The bedroom has privacy issues. People from the other house can easily see inside the room. Secondly, the home theatre didnt feel good.

    BRICK CLADDING NOT EXPOSED BRICK WORK

    • @anudeepbhandari9003
      @anudeepbhandari9003 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its Brick veneer which is 9”x2”X1.5” thick tile, as a cladding material it works better. It takes a lot of weathering effect especially seepage of water better than only use of bricks on wall. We have worked with local bricks only on govt. school projects and that saved us a lot of money there. But here since finishing and lower maintenance was paramount to the client hence brick veneer has been used. (Procured these from a kiln which was only 40kms from the site)

    • @dLifeHealthcareFoundation
      @dLifeHealthcareFoundation 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How to screw a good design -- get in Vastu.
      As per Vastu:
      Hob in south eat, sink in NE but sink and hob should not be on same platform. What a stupidity. So how does one get cooktop and sink in right position without being on the same platform? VASTU is as stupid as Palmistry. There can be nothing right ever unless one builds a house in 1 acre land :)

    • @anudeepbhandari9003
      @anudeepbhandari9003 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Vastu concepts were not used in this house as per understanding with the client.
