I love how in all the c250 videos people ask about the engine... Yes it's the 1.8 i4 with a fucking turbo it's the c250 not the c300 or the c350 heck it's not even the c2fucking40
I did see reduction in torque. But after this mod few thousand miles later Mercedes had some system update for the car under a recall and that essentially flashed the ECU. After that update I saw noticeable bump in how the car reacted.
@@bondvln Thanks for replying. I've just had my engine refurbished after a timing chain failure, the engine sounds much nicer compared to before. I was considering a muffler delete and maybe a Y-pipe set up to look like the V6 C350 before the engine went, but now the engine sounds much nicer and louder anyway. I'd still consider a muffler delete but I'm worried about making the car worse. Would you say it's worthwhile or just leave the car as it is? Having just spent the best part of £5000/$7000 on the engine, I'd much rather not end up with a worse car.. especially as I'm aware that with all the money I've spent so far on the C250, I could have had a C63 haha. I'd appreciate your opinion :)
@@plxton I think you are better off leaving it as is for now. Any thing to open up the exhaust wether it be muffler delete or converting into quad exhaust will possibly lose you backpressure effecting the response. You'd need a ecu flash or tune to take advantage of increase exhaust flow.
@@bondvln hey thanks sorry for the late response. How much of a difference in sound was there from with and without the muffler? I only want to slightly increase sound.
So the story with my specific one is that, after i got the muffler delete, mercedes had a recall of ecu. So they reflashed my ECU with new software. So infact i gained power since ecu now allocated for my muffler delete. My mpg went up as well. The recall service was literally 2 days after i got the delete so i did not drive it enough to notice any power loss before it got updated.

I hope you know you can get a c250 with a 2.5l v6 you knob
@@lucaschampagne6095 I also hope you know the facelift W204 don't have the C280(C250 for some countries) V6 option idiot
I think that's not sport sound ? Because I have c250 2013 and want to delete the muffler What you suggest ?
Think you can show more of this?
more of the exhaust or the car?
So is this the 1.8 inline four with a turbo
Yes, i have 1. I love it tho
Is it noticeably louder than before?
Any reduction in torque from this? I'm struggling to find reliable information about muffler deletes on the 1.8L C250

turbo cars do not need backpressure
the turbo is the backpressure in the exhaust when you have a turbo car the less backpressure the better
Ik this is old I got some questions lmk if u can help thx
Yes let me know your questions

Is this the 1.8? Do you have videos of it rolling ? Or fly by ? Thanks
Yes it's 1.8 linear 4 with turbo
Is this a diesel ?
nice video
Not noticeable at all
nice sound
Did you notice performance loss, especially on low end torque with this mod?

did the "check engine" light come on after you delete the muffler?
