This was right after new exhaust. oil change and spark plugs so i think there might have been some residue

Yeah that was my fault, I put the mic too close to the exhaust not expecting how loud it would be. I will get some drive by shots and more exhaust videos soon

I got the exhaust directly from Armytrix. I think it would be very similar on 2014 v8 as well! I would suggest reaching out to them on their website.

Mine has 2 Magnaflow mufflers with a resonator deleted and replaced with X pipe in the middle. It also had exhaust cutout installed at the base of the muffler. So if you want just this sound Its pretty much an X pipe instead of the resonators and no mufflers.

I did see reduction in torque. But after this mod few thousand miles later Mercedes had some system update for the car under a recall and that essentially flashed the ECU. After that update I saw noticeable bump in how the car reacted.

@@bondvln Thanks for replying. I've just had my engine refurbished after a timing chain failure, the engine sounds much nicer compared to before. I was considering a muffler delete and maybe a Y-pipe set up to look like the V6 C350 before the engine went, but now the engine sounds much nicer and louder anyway. I'd still consider a muffler delete but I'm worried about making the car worse. Would you say it's worthwhile or just leave the car as it is? Having just spent the best part of £5000/$7000 on the engine, I'd much rather not end up with a worse car.. especially as I'm aware that with all the money I've spent so far on the C250, I could have had a C63 haha. I'd appreciate your opinion :)

@@plxton I think you are better off leaving it as is for now. Any thing to open up the exhaust wether it be muffler delete or converting into quad exhaust will possibly lose you backpressure effecting the response. You'd need a ecu flash or tune to take advantage of increase exhaust flow.

turbo cars do not need backpressure

the turbo is the backpressure in the exhaust when you have a turbo car the less backpressure the better
