    I love, love, love the shiny. I'm so happy that color shifting/iridescence has been becoming popular again in both makeup and general wear.
    And also nice to have more things to do with my stash of shinies! Lol

    I can see these as lip stick toppers , or maybe using the blends as lip gloss even. Very cool I do have a massive collection of micas to play with thanks for sharing this.

    Why do you use hemisqualene instead of coconut oil? And can you suggest some other alternatives? Thank you :)

    What kind of preservative would you suggest if you were giving this to other people? xxx

    • @HumblebeeAndMe
      @HumblebeeAndMe  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No water, no preservative required. Just tell people not to use them in the shower :P

    Wow, that hilite violet one is so pretty! It looks like something my sister would wear. I'm an eyeliner and mascara kind of girl, but she loves to go all out with makeup. That one makes me think of unicorns. Thanks for showing these off! The TKB website apparently doesn't show how they truly look, so this is great!

    • @HumblebeeAndMe

      All the hilite ones are like magic! I want to add them to all the things and look like a colour shifting dream creature all the time :P

    I am finding it really hard to find these micas in Canada. Any recommendations for alternatives?

    • @HumblebeeAndMe
      @HumblebeeAndMe  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are very unlikely to find anything from TKB Trading in Canada sold under the exact same name, but there is no shortage of places to purchase micas in Canada and you can likely find something similar. Check out my big list of places to shop at www.humblebeeandme.com/ for ideas!

    can i use ordinary coconut oil or jojoba oil?

    • @HumblebeeAndMe
      @HumblebeeAndMe  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jojoba would work; if you want to use coconut I'd go with fractionated coconut oil rather than virgin :) Happy making!

    Hi Marie. Tkb they r from U S. Right. Shipping costs over border expensive?

    • @HumblebeeAndMe
      @HumblebeeAndMe  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can' only speak for shipping to Alberta, but that typically runs about $60 + import fees for a medium flat-rate shipping box.

    hard to wear on a day-to-day basis? That kinda sounds like a challenge.

    • @HumblebeeAndMe
      @HumblebeeAndMe  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe I just need more interesting days... hmmmm.

    • @theresapittman205
      @theresapittman205 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Wait, what? Your day has to reach a level of interesting to wear a ridiculous amount of highlighter? I thought wearing the ridiculous amount of highlighter made the day more interesting! Or maybe when you have fewer days ahead of you than behind, they all look more interesting. :-D

    • @HumblebeeAndMe
      @HumblebeeAndMe  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well, on a day where I don't put on any makeup at all and wear yoga clothes all day popping on a random streak of highlighter is something that just doesn't occur to me LOL :P
