I love this guitar! I have the cherry sunburst model. I got it last year in Tokyo, Japan. I think it came out in 1991. With the limited time I had, I tested it against 2 other vintage Yamaha dreadnoughts and the Morris came out better sounding hands down. I installed Cherub GTone pickups and people say it's a nice sounding guitar. After a year, I changed the strings (DR Veritas Light) and the resonance is amazing. Excited to upgrade the pins, nut, and saddle next.
Hi Edwin, I can't tell from the video. Did you use Martin Authentic Flexible Core Silk & Phosphor Custom Light Acoustic Strings, with gauges .011, .013, .023, .028, .038, .047? My 12 year old daughter is learning on a 507.
When this video was made, there was not AUTHENTIC written on Martin strings packaging. I don't know if there is some difference on the old MFX strings, or just to show that they are real Martin.
I already sold this guitar long time ago, so there is no way to check for me. But you can try G7th Performance 3. That capo can be used on most fingerboard radius. Btw, I am not endorser of that product.

What's the difference between the quality of the acoustic DR Veritas to the Martin MFX130 strings?
