My daughter was watching with me and said, "I can't believe she does all of that for her family!" It made me think I better step it up and go back to doing tea party breakfasts like I used to do for them. Thanks for this beautiful reminder! Everything looked stunning and so yummy!
These videos have inspired me to treat my family like guests..I didn't realize I would go so out of my way for other people and my family would get the leftovers. Not anymore! I made boston cream pie cupcakes for our dessert over the weekend and it was delightful. Thank you Jennifer 😌💕
I always enjoy your videos. But I have to tell you this one really turned on the light bulb above my head! I have been making fudge every holiday season for years but for some reason I always cooked my syrup and added the chocolate etc to the pan ,mixed it and then poured it!! Your way is so obviously better. Thank you!!! I spent 40 yrs juggling motherhood and a career that entailed weekends and emergencies six and seven days a week. Now I'm retired and work only part-time, love my life and at 66 discovered the joy art and love of homemaking. Thank you for your part in my journey.
Very lovely tea! We just had a Christmas tea yesterday for my moms birthday. We have been having tea parties since I was a little girl and my daughter also who is now 26 and expecting her own little girl in April. My grandma used to have tea parties with us too before she passed. We had Earl Grey and Rose teas. We also had cucumber sandwiches, open faced smoked salmon capes and cream cheese, chicken salad on croissants, Brie and cranberry mini tarts, almond scones with raspberry preserves, lemon curd and clotted cream, mini tiramisu, petit fores (sp?) and pastachiotti and chocolate coconut clusters. It was a lot but we were celebrating my moms birthday so we went all out!
Just beautiful. I've had Christmas china packed away in boxes for years and this year, you inspired me to finally use it. It makes all of our meals just a little more special.
Beautiful❤️ I just put on a tea for daughter, who turned 19, we did 19 for Nat. Nineteen of her favorite dishes and drinks for her and her closest girlfriends. It was a lot of work and way too much food! But a beautiful time was had by all.
Your family is so blessed by the beautiful traditions and memories you are giving them Jennifer. Lovely to see your little elves helping to set the table, they are darling!
How beautiful! My mother invited me in to her world of delighting in details and beautiful tableware. I remember joining her for ladies’ teas in church and feeling so honored and special. I have a close friend who thinks teas and all of the little bites are ridiculous and this makes me so sad. How lovely to see videos like this and comments from people who appreciate this tradition.
My kids are excited to have a Christmas tea dinner with their cousins later this week! I think we will use these recipes. We went to Goodwill this morning and picked out some pretty plates to put the treats on. Thank you so much!
I wanted the spode in this video, but didn't purchase any. Today my mom told me she was in a thrift store and she saw some china from England that she had a feeling she was supposed to get for me. She brought it over and it looks almost identical to your spode, but the tree has a star on the top. I hadn't told anyone I wanted it! Oh and my china cabinet is like yours, but brown. Now I just have to make these recipes and have a Daily Connoisseur tea party 😀 Merry Christmas 🎄
Hello Jennifer. Everything looks so beautiful and delicious! It is so nice to see how you and your daughters are creating loving memories. Thank you for sharing your recipes. Merry Christmas to all your family and may God bless you all.
Oh dear Jennifer, what a beautiful afternoon tea. Thank you for sharing it with us. How I enjoy these tea videos of yours - allowing us a seat in your kitchen as you carefully craft so many delicious treats, and then again at the table, as you and your precious children (who are growing up so fast! wow!) enjoy the tasty creations you have so lovingly made. You never cease to inspire me; I can't wait to try to make some of these wonderful recipes for my own family. Always grateful to you for all that you share throughout the year. Wishing you and your beloved family a most blessed and Merry Christmas, too. God love you all! xoxo
Looks lovely! We have a national treasure in the U.K., namely Mary Berry. If you don’t know who I mean, she’s a very gracious lady in her 80’s, a home cook who has written many cookery books and has her own cookery programme on TV. One of her episodes was afternoon tea. She says, if you make everything small, including the scones, you can fit in a bit of everything! So you could use a small cookie cutter for the scones in case anyone feels too full trying to eat a whole one. 🙂 I must try the cranberry and orange! Your Christmas china is beautiful.
Thank you so much for this beautiful video. ....your daughters hands are beautiful just like yours❤️. I just love that you appreciate fine China and teas and setting a beautiful table and that you are an example to your children. So many people today are in a rush, our traditional values have gone by the wayside The recipes look delicious....I’m going to try and make the scones .... have a nice day 🌲🌲🌲🌲
Thank you for sharing such a lovely Christmas tea party. My daughter and I love to have tea parties. It's great to spend time with your family and friends. Merry Christmas! 🌲
I was able to get a very large China Christmas set at a garage sale, serving bowls, etc. I love using it. No gatherings this year, just my hubbie and I but I will set a pretty table.
Jennifer, I so admire what you've done with your beautiful TH-cam channel. Just when I think your videos can't get any better...voila! You've got delicious and calming content like this!! When I watch your videos, I see a woman who loves her life. Who loves God and her family, and who wants to share gracious living with like-minded people all over the world. Thank you for sharing your gifts, your channel and your books bring such joy to my life!! Your daughters look beautiful. What a wonderful way to share time with them in the kitchen and at the table. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall to watch if your little boys were able to dive into this delectable feast! ;) Much love to you and your family this Christmas season!!
I'm in love with this video! I'm binge watching The Daily Connoisseur for almost one week now, and this video brought me so many ideas! I live in the south hemisphere and some ingredients are not available, but I know I can improvise and make a beautiful Christmas tea time :) Thank you Jennifer for your lovely videos. God Bless you
I bought your first book as a Christmas gift for my sister in law! It’s the second Christmas I’ve given someone your book! They are so beautiful and inspiring! Thank you for sharing the beauty in homemaking, femininity and family!
Good morning, Jennifer! You and your daughters work well together. I love how you all dressed up for the tea. Your cucumber and smoked salmon sandwiches are definitely my favorite.
What a beautiful video and an apt ending to a year when I re-imagined afternoon teas - thanks to your blog. May your home be blessed and safe this Christmas season.
Oh my goodness...thank you Jennifer! Just yesterday I decided to have an afternoon Christmas tea for 6 of my friends . This is just the perfect video for me. You are a blessing and Merry Christmas! Love seeing your sweet children helping you in the kitchen!
OOOOOH, how I loved this! I feel like I got a present! What a welcome, beautiful diversion and inspiration amidst the welter of uncertainty we face these days. I loved your plating ideas and your elves did a wonderful job helping Mommy make the table lovely. Thank you so much for making this video! Blessings to you and yours today and throughout this holy season!
Love this video! Our 3.5 year old loved watching you put together the recipes. She would get excited if you put in an ingredient she recognized. 💕 -Lydiya
Exquisite ! Your videos are such a sensory experience for me ! Everything looked beautiful and made with love - the most important ingredient 💖 Stay safe and best wishes from Australia 🇦🇺
I really enjoyed this video. It inspired me to make the cranberry-orange scones. I also made homemade lemon curd and homemade clotted cream! I used the whey left from the clotted cream to make the scones. I also froze my butter and grated it into the batter. They were delicious! I did a variation of the roast beef sandwich earlier in the week. I did use caramelized onions (delicious!), but I used swiss cheese, homemade horseradish sauce and ciabatta bread. I love these kinds of videos.
Thank you for this lovely and festive vlog. Everything looks delicious, especially the cranberry scones. Your Spode Christmas set is beautiful and it's nice to see your daughters helping with the preparations for the tea. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Looks amazing! I’ve never made scones, but I’m going to give it a try. I think having an afternoon tea for my family would be such fun, especially as we are all missing the typical social festivities held during this time of year. Also, you managed to put together a menu that my entire picky family would love! Thanks for the inspiration! ❤️😋
I know it’s not advisable and a little crazy but I use self-rising flour and still add baking powder. The lift I get on my scones is crazy. I love serving tea and I love this video 💕
Hi Jennifer, Beautiful, lovely, perfect. I really enjoyed your video. I did not know the history behind the Spode Christmas dishes. That was fun to learn about. Afternoon tea is one of life's pleasures. Thank you for posting. Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas! xoxo, Karen
Because my son was unable to be home for Easter and won't be home for Christmas because of Covid, the three of us at home had an Easter tea and were considering a Christmas tea as well. I think you've convinced me! Not that it takes much to convince me to bake some scones and sit down with a cup of tea! Thank you for the video!
I enjoyed a homemade apple pie bar with my coffee while watching your afternoon tea. I just pretended I was invited. :) Also, Jennifer, you seem to eat so eclectically. Is there anything you really don't like? I've stretched my palette over the years but still feel like I can be picky.
My lovely mother was a real social maven (politician's wife). She made her finger sandwiches by stacking the whole sandwiches and cutting them with an electric knife. She could cut more sandwiches in less time and it didn't squish the bread. Everything looks so lovely. I've been thinking about having a Christmas tea this year and I will definitely make the cucumber salmon treats. I really enjoy your videos.
That sandwich you made reminds me of my dad that passed away 11 years ago we would make it with deer around the holidays and when my Nana would come over my dad would make it with duck but we used our own horseradish made with homemade mail from our chickens eggs I think tonight I’m going to toast my dad thank you for bringing back such a lovely memory
J’adore! You do such a beautiful job on these videos. So artistic. I have these Christmas plates, inherited from my parents. Thank you for sharing this inspirational video!
That was so beautiful and inspiring. I’m making Russian Teacakes with pecans today. One of my favorites. Will have with tea later. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone. 🎄
Hello Jennifer, thank you for another afternoon tea video. Its beautiful and your girls all dressed up! 😊 my girls and I love to do afternoon tea once a month by the way everything looks so delicious 😋😍 Merry Christmas from Australia 😁
Delightful! I feel so inspired!! Now, a Christmas tea during this season will be on the menu for sure. Also, thank you for sharing your recipes. Although...perhaps 11pm was not the time for me to watch this particular video, as it is rather too tempting during my intermittent fasting :)

Great perspective! I am inspired as well.
I love this, Tori! That's so great. Thank you!
What a beautiful comment.
My Grandmother used to have that pattern of tableware. It reminds me of being a child. I am in England.x

This was so lovely and peaceful to watch Jennifer! Thank you so much for sharing :)
Wäre sehr nett, wenn man sich für "alte"Menschen auch für die deutsche Sprache interessieren könnte.!!!
Jennifer you are one of the very few TH-cam channels I like before completely watching the entire video. ☺️🎄

I love afternoon tea, hors d’ouerves, tapas, mezedes (Greek, similar to tapas), and all the little-bite meals, more flavors to enjoy!
Jennifer, such a lovely tea with delicious food. Having your children help is creating great memories for them, too. Merry Christmas! Julie 🌷
How lovely to enjoy a Christmas tea in February! It is only 10.5 months until Christmas.
such a lovely tea. now I am inspired to have a spring tea for my girlfriends to celebrate the end of this pandemic :)
That sounds a lovely idea.
Everything looks wonderful! I always wonder how you do it all. I really admire you ❤

Hello Jennifer. Everything looks so beautiful and delicious! It is so nice to see how you and your daughters are creating loving memories. Thank you for sharing your recipes. Merry Christmas to all your family and may God bless you all.

Straight horseradish is indeed very strong...and that's the twisted reason I've loved it since I was a little baby haha :) Beautiful tea!!!

I’m American but love Mary Berry. I have several of her books. You are right, she is a national treasure.
Yes, I'm familiar with her from the Great British Bake-off. I watched that on a plane once.
Each tea time more elegant than the last! So delightful to see two lovely young ladies joining you.
Watching your video was truly a gift! Everyday you show your family how much they are loved.
