I agree with you about the propellers. They should switch to torx or something similar. Because they are nice enough to include a small Phillips it should be easy to change it to small torx screwdriver .
Excellent review, brother. I just bought threMini 4 Pro after your review. I love your laid back style. Drone Nerds are off putting for people like myself getting into the hobby. Getting delivered tomorrow. Ill share my first videos with with you in a few days.
Glad that this review was able to help you make that decision and that you liked the energy. I definitely don't like to try and sway people towards thing or another which is why I try to provide perspectives from both points. Looking forward to your videos for sure. Thanks for watching.
Great review. I have both the Mini 3 Pro & the Mini 4 Pro. Fly & use both. Waypoints was a must-have addition for me so getting a Mini 4 was a no-brainer. Now if they would just allow us to use the LTE functionality designed into the Mavic 3, Air 3, Mini 3, & Mini 4, my wishlist would be fulfilled.
Good review. Couple of corrections. The standard battery for Mini 4 Pro is 3 grams lighter, so a M3P battery works, but puts you a few grams over 250. Plus battery is same. Camera sensor is not same as Air 3, its not front side illuminated, nor stacked. Still, it has improved a bit since Mini 3 camera. I grabbed Mini 4 Pro at launch, and immediately parted ways with the Mini 3 Pro. Waypoints and omnidirectional OA are huge. The move to Occusync 4 is painful, but so was O2 to O3. One more: the verticle shooting on Air 3 is different, but slicks- yes its not using the full sensor, but 2.7k is my goto for youtube content. Looks identical (nearly) on phone size displays, uses less battery, less storage, the drone PCB runs several degrees cooler, camera module as much as 12° cooler, and you have image quality indistinguishable from 4k for most viewers. 😀 -I use 4k only for the best scenic shooting.
Much appreciated. I decided not to include the 6-minute ramble about the battery I originally did for this review and just state what battery life I got and the fact that the standard battery was lighter in this video. I believe I went over this more in depth in my comparison between the many three Pro and the Mini 4 Pro. In regards to the camera sensor you're right I probably should have gone more in depth with that but more or less what I was getting at is that the color science is very close to the air 3. Admittedly, this review got really, really annoying to put together. Should have taken more time, but life comes at you and mysterious ways sometimes. I definitely do agree that the way points and omnidirectional OA are definitely useful additions. I'm still holding out hope that they'll make the rc2 compatible with older drones. Yes 04 has utilizes new tech but based on what I've seen online, it doesn't look like anything too daunting to do unless there are other aspects DJI just hasn't released in his information on page. I would happily use the RC2 with my Mavic 3 since range doesn't matter to me in the least. Either way, one can hope nonetheless.
@@WIHRC Indeed, hav8ng 6 antennas shouldn't prevent it as FW can probably resolve signal differences. If more concern is how try are utilizing the 5.1 ghz band. It's not for command / control, I believe it just video
Great location and great footage. I enjoyed the watch and the depth of your technical review. I have both the 3&4 PROs and really wish the 4 was more stable in the wind. Just a little wind causes it to shake like crazy and my experience is that the Mini 3 Pros' flight characteristics in wind are far superior. Love the features of the Mini 4 Pro though so on less windy days its great. The Mini 4 Pro with the added AI drains more mAh for sure and like yourself I'd like to have seen improvement there. Glad I've found your content do keep it coming!
Thanks for the compliments, and I'm really glad that you enjoyed the review and all of the work put into it. Believe me, it was a stretch to make this one, but I'm glad to know that all the work I put into it is appreciated. It definitely would have been great if they would have somehow circumvented that battery drain from active track and potentially making it bigger but, I'll give it a pass since I didn't have to buy a new battery LOL. In reference to the wind resistance. I wonder if they could make something that carries the same weight but maybe change the propellers or something to make it more when resistant. Honestly, it is really more of a problem because of the rules set forth by the FAA. Maybe if they would somehow up the weight class for drones, this size DJI could potentially come out with something that would would stand a little more wind, but then again, I could be completely wrong here.
You most likely purchased the Fly more kit with the intelligent flight battery plus units. These batteries have more capacity and weigh more than the standard battery which is why the label isn't printed on them.
Hmm, that hasn't been my experience. The Mini 3 PRO worked well for me when i owned it. It definitely does come down to environment however. If you're flying in areas with high moisture content then I could see how this might be an issue but it's never happened to me before.
Thank you for your review. As you know I have a Mini 3 Pro and a Mini 4 Pro I love them both but the Mini 4 Pro is like you said you get a more finished product out of it. Thank you again.
Nice to see an American Black man doing drone reviews for a change. My Mini 4 Pro arrives the day before Thanksgiving! How soon should I have it registered? And how soon should I take the Part 107 course and which course do you remommend ( training )?
I'm glad you enjoyed the content. There's a few of us out there. That depends, honestly. Which kit did you go for? If you got the regular one with the standard battery, you don't have to worry about it technically, but I'd say just register it as soon as you can. Well, honestly , part 107 is something that depends on who you are. It took me about 3 months to study for it and make sure I comprehended things enough to go into the test confidently. Are you thinking about using the drone for professional work?
@BlackPanther-yv7ib this might be the most corny thing to say but the possibilities are pretty endless right now when it comes to making money with drones. The only thing I can foresee making it a little bit harder is the fact that certain people in government are trying to ban DJI right now but I feel like things will work out. Since you bought the fly more kit plus you'll definitely want to register it as soon as possible. As a matter of fact you should be able to just take the trust test right now so that when you get the Drone all you have to do is register it. I just realized I didn't answer another part of your question. The study material I used was from the pilot institute. I don't remember how much their courses but it is definitely worth every single penny.
@@WIHRC 💵 💵 💵 My Mini 4 Pro arrives TODAY! But probably won’t get to play with it until tomorrow and even then Wife will want me in the kitchen helping her with Thanksgiving meal prep. 😞. LOL
That's exciting for sure. Honestly, take your time with it. There will probably be some people who may not find it as serious, but I think when flying a drone, situational awareness and calmness are key, pretty much. I remember being really excited when I got my first one and ended up having an accident, so it's better to do it when you actually have the time to do it. Plus, your wife and Thanksgiving are more important. That's time you can't get back once gone.
Hopefully it will come with no issues. I sold my Mini 3 Pro this weekend and someone definitely got away with a steel with everything I included with it.
Really don't think I will upgrade to the Mini 4 Pro because I am satisfied with the Mini 3 Pro. As a hobbyist, I would consider the Air 3 but that even causes my hesitation! DJI drones are so proprietary that if money is an issue, you better be prepared to pay for every little thing added right down to the lens filters! So what that the batteries are compatible! The RC remote is NOT! By next year, there will likely be something else! LOL!
I have the Mini 2 and hope to jump to the Mini 4 Pro in a few months when I retire.
That'll be a nice upgrade for sure!
Enjoy your tutorials. You speak and I understand exactly what you mean. Good work

Why don’t any of my batteries say ultra light with that font on the battery. I just bought it brand new fly more combo . None of my batteries say that
