I was just at Goosemas this past weekend and it was incredible! All their tunes are just so much better live. They all build to these incredible crescendos.
actualy, they build up a mountain and NEVER know what to do after they hit the peak. They don't know how to shift the momentum following the crecendo, very very low brow version of jam bands
@@johnstamos8403I’d say not typically. Since I started seeing them in 21 they’ve gotten more interesting and less noodly. The SPAC show I went to was the best one yet for me. New tune big modern is quite good. Still, I’d say they’re no phish. But then again, no one is or will be.
Quite possibly the best live band out there right now. Amazing jams, incredible vocals and lyrics and grooves that pull you in immediately. Plus, all their songs are constantly evolving because the refuse to be boxed in and stagnant. The best bands perform without a net, that's Goose.
You dont see much live music huh?
Phish, Steve Kimocks bands, oteils band, dso, dead n co all make goose look borderline handicapped.
I love these guys, but often overlooked is their support crew. The sound mix of all their shows is studio quality and the light shows are fantastic.
Absolutely - there are a couple of newer bands in this scene that have exceptional sound mixing. Too often overlooked
Have fun! Catching GOOSE in Charlotte Thursday night!!!!!!!
Same!!!! So pumped.
yep, me too!
Saw them summer of 2019 and haven't looked back. They continue to grow and experiment and it's a fun ride to take! Thank you for featuring my favorite band :)
They killed slow ready in Charlotte last night. Those guys can smoke some serious grass! So good. So good. Rick is so cool. #goosedroppings
Slow ready was pretty sweet but it was more like Slow Ready Tea. Peter played slow ready on the keys throughout Hot Tea.
Thank you for exposing me to this band! I love what they do, such talented musicians.
I found them about a month ago.. I’m in total awe.. Rick is a once in a generation player.. he can absolutely soar like I’ve not seen in a really long time. He’s got the magic, they’re incredible.
My friends still won’t bite on this band, and I can’t understand why. Very well-put that they do everything so well. I’ll finally get to see them on 6/12 in Indy. Can’t wait 😎
*GOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSE!!!*
Great meeting you at Goose @ 9:30 night 2! Thanks for saying ‘hello’ hope you had a great show!
Omg you did Goose and In Charleston! They were just back here a few days ago and fucking killed it again. They are such a vibe. Love them! Thank you for doing this dude!
Sees the word GOOSE in title, JUMPS to hit play....
Amazing band. So happy you did this!!!! Goopossseeee!!!!
Got into Goose a couple years back. Fortunately i was able to catch them live 3 times last year in the NY NJ area. Love this band. Looking forward to Radio City this summer 🔥🔥. Thanks for the video Michael. 👍
Another fantastic addition to the GOOOOSE file!
Goose are such a fun band!!
Such a beautiful PRS.
So glad you picked this band. I’ve really been getting into more jam bands over the past few years. Been a long time Widespread Panic fan. Picked up on Goose this past year and I feel like they are mixing the playing of many Jam bands are kind of the future of Jamming.
Started watching for Dead videos, now it's Goose. Thanks, you're awesome
Enjoy the show, was just at Goosemas in CT
Love you, love Goose, love this video! Thanks for doing this for us all ☺️
Man I was at this show they absolutely blew the place away. Ricks tone was bonkers and so clear. Don’t think he’s come in on the intro solo that fast w an envelope since then. This is THE version of so ready for me
Awesome!! 🎸
Very interesting musical textures throughout. Thanks for sharing. 🥰
Woo hoo! Glad it got on there...have a blast tonight @michael P and thanks for the pick. Working on my Dorian now!
Went last night! Great show, played from 8:30pm-12:00pm
Love it sounds smoother than most
Going to see these guys in Knoxville on Monday! Really excited to see them. Just saw Billy Strings here a couple weeks ago and he was on point as always. On a related note…MOAR BILLY
You rock Michael. Guitar gate is great!!
Hi Michael. Great analysis of a great band. Enjoy the show!
Goose is on a whole new level right now have a great time at the show!!
Slow ready > so ready until maybe you listen to this one.
It is hard to communicate why they are so good. Part of it is the production for TH-cam and the way they chose to market themselves. Genius to go all in on production crew these days.
YES!!
Rick is everything I want to be in a guitar player
Holy song of scales, batman!! And you sir, are not just a great instructor, but a player in your own right! 👏 👏 👏
Fanfreakintastic. That’s why I love your channel. Your subs find new bands for me to fall in love with.
LFG! See you tonight!!
Awesome video as always, Michael. Just so you know, though, this means you are going to have to a video on Slow Ready next. Same song, completely different tempo/groove/jam. Then you have to pick a side because you're either Team So Ready or Team Slow Ready. Time-stamped below:

I swear you are going to manage to help me understand theory. It’s like my mind wants to understand your words so badly!!
I know what you mean!
Sorry I missed you there. Shows in D.C. were fantastic! Keep up the great work and content. ✌️
Shoutout Charleston, SC! The charleoo that’s where I grew up 😁
You're last statement is dead on. It's a different approach than say a Grateful Dead. Sometimes the dead can Vamp on the same chord for 20 minutes, but with Goose, the progressions are so interesting and fresh. They go from Minor to Major more frequently, and the whole band is always on the same page. That's why the crescendos are always so effective. The whole band can sense when Rick will be going to the root for a peak, and it makes his solo's so much more effective.
your
Love the Hendrix painting...
Saw them most recently at Mohegan Sun last weekend. Their new stuff is killer, enjoy 😎!
Was that Goosemas? I watched first two sets live and it was incredible. Got tickets for the red rocks show in August. I can't wait
@@blairo32 it was the rescheduled Goosemas date! Red Rocks will be a awesome show and a huge milestone for them.
3rd set at mohegan had us howling like the wolves 🔥
DRIPFIELD!!! 🔥🔥🔥
10:10 Michael pulling out some sick licks. 🤯
Seeing them at a sold out Radio City Music hall in June, can't wait!
Congrats lol I’m sure it was definitely worth the wait my friend!
See you tonight! Met you at Dead and Co as well!
Thank the lord
More goooooose
I hadn’t heard of these guys before this. But, I’m a fan now! They remind me of one of my favorite bands,a funk group out of the San Francisco Bay Area called Tower of Power! If you don’t know TOP you’ll be in for a treat!
brooklyn bowl tomorrow ! first show baby
Goose makes me ☺️
Not gonna lie, I mistakenly thought this was a Geese video, but either way, totally enjoyed it!
Looking forward to you doing an episode of We Move Through Stormy Weather, with Ryan Storm sometime!!
Goooooooooooose!!!
I was there last night, I’ve seen them 15x and Rick was the hottest I’d seen him. Can’t wait for tonight, I’d love to meet you
nice vibe
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSE
Goose crushes. Honk implosion USA coast2coast 2022!
GOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEE!!!!
HONK!!!
"So Ready" for Charlotte tomorrow night. lol
I genuinely always wonder how this guy would react to will wood and the tapeworms and if he would actually like them because like damn bro I feel like he would
You've danced around it, I can't wrap my head around why you haven't done it, maybe I'm unaware of the reason, but please for the sake of this entire community you have built, please watch and review PHISH! Keep doing what you do man!
I’m going to soon I think
@@Guitargate I'll be there when you do! 8/1/21 Tweezer or 8/6/21 Simple isn't a bad place to start for recent shows but what do I know ;D
Meh!..if you do review Phish, please do something pre 1999. I was a huge phan, but the shows from 2000 till today are so lame 🤣
@@sozei Obviously phish was better in the 90's, but idk if you've been to or listened to any show lately but I think a lot of people who saw them back then would disagree that they are "lame" today. The old guys from Vermont definitely still got it ;D. Also thought giving a recent show recommendation would be more fitting for this channel, since he would be reviewing/reacting to trey's more current guitar playing
Don’t be afraid to say Jam band. Just because the normals see it as a negative. We don’t. That’s what it is
Would love to see you react to Peach Pit - Tommy's Party
Never clicked so quick
Testament The Ritual
Time to do Orebolo (Acoustic goose) Rockdale..If you love Goose they'll blow your mind. You'll thank me later.
I'm going to see Goose next Friday in Philly. They are a pretty good Mashup of all the previous jambands and they can really hit some peaks. If they continue to add to their catalog and start to experiment a bit more, they could be the next big one.
Compared to Phish they are super tight and the guitarist stays locked in on theme. This is simultaneously their greatest strength and weakness. This is because it allows them to rip and roar and be very accessible. However it keeps the experimentation to a minimum as they mainly stay "type 1" as we say. But they are super tight and good at what they do.
Also their light guy is the second best member of the band. No joke.
Saw them for the first time in Philly too. Good band, great band even, but guitarist never kicks it to spicy territory and the whole sound got old by the end of the show. Maybe the sound at the Fillmore isn’t good?
Lights were killer.
What?😅
@@MichaelJoshuaWilliams not a jamband guy are you
Gotta get some Lespecial reacts!!
Great video but do you think you can make a turn back to outlaw country like any Blaze Foley, Townes Van Zandt, Waylon on his tele, and Willie’s Trigger serenades
Yes! Hit me!
You should react to the doo!
Part 2 of me requesting you react to Jon Bellion playing guillotine live at cove city.
I have no fucking idea what this dude just said.
