  • This is a well made product that works well but is not quite as universal as they would like to think it is but it still does work well but is a niche product because most times the zipper cannot be fixed just with a new slider. but it can be handle for adding a second slider to a tool bag, gym bag etc

7:16 of nothing helpful, you didn’t show how to attach the FixInZip to a zipper; didn’t show the FixInZip going to the separated part of the zipper to demonstrate a repair, if it does that, just a lot of talking, by the other comments, it looks like a person needs a background on zippers to understand what you were discussing, to me it was useless

Agreed. The "stop" is always the issues with my broken zippers. (I've looked everywhere for them, but no dice.) This anchor should be included in the zipper pack. Great vid, Ty. Keep'em coming.

I'm glad most good jackets now have two closure methods, zippers are nice till that like 4-5 year mark, then they're more trouble than buttons

So,,,,it went on as advertised, works as advertised and did what it’s supposed to do - no more, no less. But you’re still not sold. I bought it to make a quick fix on my granddaughter’s snow bibs and it performed flawlessly. Much easier than tearing apart a new zipper to fit it onto an older zipper that needs to get you by for just a little longer.

They sell on 3 sizes on Amazon these, its 30 € though, quite expensive, tried the plastic alternative (17€) and it works but keeps opening so yeah these metal ones are much better gonna try them.

Using for over three weeks. Does what the product says. Does not replace missing teeth or missing stops. But it does not say that it does.

Dude, I've just ordered one of these a few minutes ago, and went looking for a review (probably should have looked for the review first, duh!).
I gotta say, you are asking a bit much.
    (1) There are three sizes, that will cover up to size 10 zip-pull. That covers 100% of domestic zips.
    (2) If your zips are fucked, then replacing the zip-pull won't resolve your problem. That is not a valid critique of the product.
    (3) You think the should include a stop piece for the end of the zip, when that might be needed in 1% of cases, and would need to be ENTIRELY customized for the zip in question, and also may I refer you back to point 2!
The review should address the promised functionality ONLY.
What I wanted to know was if, maybe, the screw-down piece remained screwed - or came loose after a few uses? Is it likely to fall apart? That kind of thing.

Too bad that it sounds like you made up your mind not to like it before you started?

Thank you. Saved me from buying it. Yes, they should not have glossed over their video and left the crucial part out.

The only things made in the USA is My Pillow products and those fitted car floor mats. Anything more is too complex to be made here anymore.

It's best for emergency field repairs on a long trip. When you can get the broken zipper Professionally fixed if repair is Warranted. 6 months on Amazon expedition there life savers! Nothing is perfect .

Hello, What happen after you wash in the washing machine and dry in the dryer machine many times? This slider zipper will keep its pressure and torque so that it remains fixed on the zipper. Meaning this will keep your jacket fixed during the timeframe?

The zipper on my wife's jacket broke. It worked great. I used the medium size Fixnzip. They come in three sizes. There is also a product called ZlideOn. But, each zipper slide is made for a specific zipper. Not a one size fits many. I found a size 5 ZlidOn. But, it was just a tiny bit too small. I will save it for another time. The Fixnzip worked like a charm. As others have mentioned, the zipper stops are available on Amazon.

Useful review, thanks! I've had two coats in a row where the slider broke but the zipper was otherwise fine, so this seems like it would fit the bill. It looks bulkier and uglier than similar products like the Zlideon, but the latter just clips on. This one with the big screw for adjustment looks like it'll be much more durable, and perhaps can outlast the garment it repaired and get used on another one.
I'd be curious to see you review other zipper repair kits for comparison.

I have a jacket where this would work PERFECTLY, because the zipper head wore thin enough to break and fell off (yes, the PLASTIC zipper teeth wore through the pot metal), leaving teeth in perfect shape on both sides.
But it has to cost less than buying another zipper, because I could remove the stop, install the head from a new zipper, and reinstall the stop.
Aaaaaaand, looking on Amazon, it is $11-12 for the 3 sizes. SCREW THAT.

Must use needle-nose pliers to tighten the screw!!!!!! Otherwise it will not zip together.

Catus ole boy...i think Tiny is the only one qualified to say whether or not this zipper slider is the "Cats Meow" or not.....You really need to ask her & let her give her opinion on camera....
