    Hahahaa I'm so glad you guys liked the signs! I had so much fun, especially on the Highland Trail one! Soo I'm just gonna write out what I think as I watch the episode so brace yourselves. Mike, that was some episode! That grill has to be the coolest themed restaurant in planzoo so far. Amazing job with the pay stations, the buffet and OMG the grills themselves :O. And everything is tied together so well. The little creek coming down from the highlands turned out beautifully, as expected :D! Llama milking, I'm dying xD!! And Rudi, I'm gonna steal that steel wire, so clever! And I'm so gonna steal all those retaining walls you did Mike. Love them as well as the new access road behind the pandas. We so need your talent for organization and layout in Pilosa! AND OMG that overgrown trail. Love love love the tree with the custom roots, that looks so realistic and immersive and the waterfall scene has to be one of my favourite views in this zoo. There's so much interaction, yet it's SO scenic. Loved the episode! Lots of love from the Pilosa Crew

    Wow, I love everything here!
    One small detail with the buffet: They always put the meats last because they want you to fill your bowl with the cheaper noodles and veggies. So by the time you get to the meat, your bowl is already full and you automatically take less of the expensive meat. That's also a tip if you ever go to a mongolian buffet: plan ahead and don't fill your bowl with the cheap stuff!

    I cannot wait to get to tour through Koali Zoo (even if it does break my computer). Looks so amazing. Two things: 1) What happened to your roof on the Microhouse? 2) If you do decide to get the community to build some sculptures for the garden, will you guys announce that somewhere?

      Microhouse has always bugged me - *ha* - I'm toying with the idea of converting into a nocturnal house - not to mention that roof is 6k excess pieces and disappears when the camera is zoomed out!

    To add a level of authenticity. Could you add posts with rope tie ups at the entrances to the jungle trail that would be used to "close" the trail for various reasons? They have this at my local botanical gardens (longwood gardens). They close certain trails due to weather, or nightfall. Just an iron post on either side with a small rope that says "path closed" to be stretched across when needed.

    • @matthijsjoolink4822
      @matthijsjoolink4822 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was thinking the exact same thing but it has to do with draw distance, the pieces it is made out of aren't shown when further away (good thing else you'd feel the lag even more) lol.. and I guess by keeping adding stuff the limit of what can be shown is reached earlier so you have to get more close in order for it to appear. That's the reason the game stays playable-isj, as long as you aren't Silv :p

    just a thought: what happens when something close to the mountain catches fire? how do firebrigades easily get there? not that I want you to rebuild the entire zoo to make it safer but it is what i'm implying

    • @ilyxr
      @ilyxr  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      We're considering that about right now as we look at access roads for staff but also emergency vehicles. Having just witnessed how a fire starts on steep cliffs...it's fairly impossible to fight - the fire would climb up the face of a mountain and burn the backside...or wherever the wind is blowing. But having choice of roads will help tremendously.

    usually there are tiny tiny little things that I'm like... mmmhhh that could've been done better, but todays episode I must say holy cow, this zoo feels so real! And the biome works so well with the park, or vice versa... every part is so beautifully with lots and lots of details... Man... I got one complaint though.. I need more content :D 1 minor thing? The big zig-zag path could need a staircase in the middle? nahh.. it's koali you need to calm, relax and enjoy every bit of it for as much as possible... can I go on the trail already? The nighttrail between the hotels seems like a pretty awesome idea! (and dangerous af lol) Rudi amazing job on the grand aviary.. man does it fit great in that spot.. love it guys! @Mike Sheets great job dude, awesome episode

    Stables cool, true. But Iben should've left right side wall also open for animals to enter their bedding? And I have seen couple of actual stables in my life, and NONE of them looked as clean as that, so I would have modified terrain underneath to peak out of concrete to be able to paint it with soil and tried to make floor dirtier with other decals etc. too?
    Lower stables with dirt floor worked way better for me :P
    YEAAH! POOL PARTY!!
    Whoever on Frontier made those vending machines should stop using psychedelic drugs!? :/ I hate them being too flashy so I have to camouflage them with something. And sure. Some real world vending machines are like such too, but not everything bad has to be that realistic on games, right?
    Why PZ runs so well with enormous amount of stuff has to be that everything is instanced, ie. There is no need to keep million palm trees in memory, as theres only couple of palm tree models in game. So game just needs to know where they are, and what is their orientation, so store just their numerical data. And then just slap graphics card to face and say "DRAW THESE HERE!"
