I know I'm more than 2 years late, but I just recently started watching this series and I just have to say, that you are insane! I cannot comprehend how you did this in a week! This has to be the most immersive and impressive build I have ever seen
having been on a safari holiday last summer, that moment where the rhino crossed the road was very realistic and matched the vibe very well for a video game. its a stunning experience the whole way through. amazing work yet again!
I know this video is from months ago, but I'm just watching Koali Zoo now, and, my god, this was absolutely breath taking. Incredible work. It looks so natural. The editing to make you feel like a guest felt so real. Sitting next to other guests and having them gasp and point to animals really added to the experience. Beautifully crafted.
As soon as you went into the safari with the okapi, I was thinking of the little ituri forest from Disney's animal kingdom safari. I too, love the Disney parks.
Furthermore, we had the exact same experience on our safari in Animal Kingdom. A rhino crossed the road just ahead of our car, making us wait. According to our driver they don't see really well, and that's why it just walked in front of our car.
Remember when we were joking about Rudi building a third of the zoo in one episode? Well, here we go :D Amazing work buddy and I have to agree with Mike: You are absolutely mad but in the best way possible
Truly amazing! I can't believe how this park keeps getting better. One little tip though: I'd personally add some log barrier or a little ditch behind the window of the "maintenance viewing cave" to keep rhinos and hippos from damaging the glass. Other than that, truly magnificent work!
Well this was simply stunning! I might have already seen this safari up close because of reasons -wink wink_ ;) But it looks just as amazing in the video! I love the signs, the area where it goes underground, the river literally everything. I do have one bit of constructive feedback here. Koali so far has always balanced very realistic and less realistic areas quite well in my eyes, to a point that the parts that are slightly less realistic flow into the realistic parts so seamlessly that you barely notice it if there's something that's less realistic. Here however, I do feel like there's something bugging me. If I were you, I'd ditch the elephants and the rhinos. Here's my reasons for it: - Koali already has Asian Elephants. Zoos rarely have both, because of the immense cost of having a herd of elephants in your zoo, having two herds would bankrupt even a wealthy zoo as Koali. - The safari is a tracked safari. Even when the vehicle can move freely, safaris with elephants need to be strictly monitored because elephants can be quite aggressive, especially African elephants are known to be harder to keep in zoos because of that. With the fact that this ride has a track that doesn't allow the vehicle to get away from an approaching elephant so it would be a big safety issue to keep them in. The same goes for the rhinos really, they can be equally aggressive and if they can indeed reach the track it is quite an unsafe safari. - I think that both the giraffes and the hippos are big enough star animals to carry this safari. They are already amazing animals, and I don't think elephants nor rhinos really enrich the safari in itself. Of course, it's all up to you guys, and this doesn't take away the brilliance that this safari is already. This video is god damn beautiful, but it doesn't do it justice at all, the actual safari in person is even more amazing ( and that's a big compliment to you btw, it's not that the video is bad at all, it's that the safari is so good that nothing beats actually experiencing it). Keep up the good work man, looking forward to what you're going to do next!
Thanks so much! And yes I agree. For the Rhino, my idea was actually that it cannot climb that incline. But the game had different Ideas LMAO. And yes the african Elephants also poop too much. Maybe we can reduce this and bring in some more antilopes. However - my preferred solution: give us a non-tracked ride and simply real safari ride like in JWE :D
@@RudiRennkamel For the rhino there actually is a solution. Modern day zoos use a system of vertical logs placed in a way so that rhinos can't walk past it, but smaller animals can! That might be a fix here; but yeah, it all depends on the hitboxes and well... :'D
This is really magnificent. A suggestion, maybe have the rhino's in a separate area because they are known to be aggressive, and sometimes chase after cars! Also, they are Indian rhino's so wouldn't really live in Africa, like the other animals. There is a nexus mod which replaces them with African white rhino's, which may help them keep in theme?
This is definitely one of my favorite episodes with the tour it's soooooooo creative and beautiful😍 I wish that real zoo's had so awesome savannaish tours😅
At the end now, and it’s simply stunning Rudi. Makes me feel like I was actually back in Africa on safari. Especially with giraffe and rhino on the track!

16:50 this sideview protection on the right side is super damn good, I love this structure of wooden stamps combined with a very few plants, thats 3 dimensional, living and simply genious, really is.

WOW Rudi, I really LOVE this episode and the safari tour with all the animal interactions was great entertainment which i also would have liked in reality. Hope, some day one can have a stop in the tunnel and enjoy a educational rest watching the animals, i also like the amount of animals brought together in that valley and ur tricks to make things working ( Elephant gras, leading the track through "water, hidden sleeping places"), which makes it a real great experience to do the ride. Really well done @rudi. Respect and thanks for that. AAAAND by birds view koali zoo looks pretty well and grown together also. This will be definitely not the last time, i watch this episode, awesome.
You. Are. Amazing! This safari ride is awesome. So much detail, creativity, and hard work. I absolutely love it! The prankster rhino, though unplanned, was hilarious.🦏😀

I swear, every time I watch your videos, at some point there's something so specific and detailed and awesome that I'm like RUDY OMG and in this one it was the "keep your paws in the car" and for context, in your last Koali it was the little water cleaning station up behind the waterfall with the little stairs! I love the attention to detail and those little tiny things that make the park feel so special
A. This is absolutely amazing! And I agree that I’ve never seen anyone else finish one of the rides in PlanZoo. You knocked it out of the park. B. You all said building this made you miss Planet Coaster. I’d love to watch another Koali series, after this one wraps up, with the four of you, and maybe bringing in guests to make the load lighter for everyone. I’d absolutely love to watch that!!

I really love the canyon. I am so amazed at how it fits into the backdrop of the map, fits into the rest of the zoo and yet still looks like a great habitat for the savanna animals. I don't know how you do the terrain changes, both the really big, obvious level changes but also the smaller undulations. Awesome work on a huge section of map!

This is so amazing!! I love it. I want to echo the sentiment of some other people, it definitely has some Disney Animal Kingdom vibes. I understand some of the critiques about so many different animals in one place, but I love that we can have that in Planet Zoo, so I hope you keep your elephants and rhinos. I know the safari ride at Disney has a ton of different animals, broken into sections, so I don’t think this is completely unrealistic to have them in a zoo like this. I understand that it would be ridiculously expensive, but I think that’s part of the beauty of a video game, the blending of the fantastic and realistic. Fun fact, the trouble making animals for the safari ride at Disney were actually the zebra, they had to switch them out for addax.
the wooden one? i don´t think it would, i found similar designs, that work exactly this way. They have a certain angle in which they come together to keep it stable

These nasty zebras !
This does take me to Kilimanjaro safaris until Disney opens back up here in Florida. Got my fix lol
how you get that screen
daaaaaaaamn rudi good job
Thaaaaaaaanks Todd
This episode was cool
Great to hear :-)
You definitely need a post in the middle of the double arched bridge. It would collapse for sure like it is now 🙊
Absolutely amazing, the only thing is although the bridge looks cool it would definitely collapse in real life.
the wooden one? i don´t think it would, i found similar designs, that work exactly this way. They have a certain angle in which they come together to keep it stable
Great zoo!!!!
