One of the only downsides of technology. Accidentally sending messages can be brutal, it’s just to avoid the majority of accidental messages, the only way I can think of changing it is to have to painstakingly go through a ‘are you sure you want to send this message?’ pop up every single time, and chances are you’re still gonna send some. I was, at the time, also beginning to be diagnosed with my mental illnesses, so I kept dissociating and panicking because I thought I didn’t love him anymore- but I just couldn’t access my emotions at that time. I mentally matured a lot faster than he did, and by the time my mental health issues started showing, he already wasn’t treating me very well. But I also understand that being with someone who has BPD and PTSD is probably really hard. That’s why me and him are still friends to this day- neither of us blamed each other for the breakup because we knew we were both at fault. Honestly it’s my first, most mature breakup that I ever had! I still have a spot for him in my heart! But not romantically anymore.💖

Our love was too intense and grown up for our age, we were too young to love each other like we did. It was 4 years later that I realized I never removed his number from my phone, since he was towards the bottom of my contact list and all the numbers I used more I got to via my message center.

The problem is that there were multiple Angelas in his contacts and that he only told me her first name. Not knowing this, I sent the meme to the first person I found in his contacts named Angela. I later found out the Angela I sent it to was both the wrong Angela and his ex girlfriend. I wish I could say I know what the fallout to that was.

Who was also there, and also remembered her because she broke up with him in a rather abrupt fashion after she moved away. This story is the other way around. My ex accidentally called me when I was on vacation. I picked it up then because I thought maybe he wanted to say sorry for a few things he said to me that made me break up with him. When he finally saw that I was on the line, he was like "oh sorry I didn't mean to do that, have a good day"... that was the only time he had ever called me... we were in a long distance relationship for 4 months
The love reaction reminds me of something that happened at work. So I work in a restaurant and we use a single tablet to book all the orders into the computer. Us helps are only supposed to use it when absolutely certain because it's impossible to delete an order without getting the boss down - way too complicated. Anyway, I was sure. What I didn't know was that my colleague who was responsible for orders that evening had heard the order and already booked it, so it was in there twice. In a panic, I tried to delete it (this was shortly after we had gotten a new tablet, so I'd hoped this one might have a deleting function) and apparently pressed a "repeat order" button of sorts. After that, the order was in three times and my colleagues were quite confused as to how the heck that had happened especially given that I already been chewed out. My colleagues managed to redistribute the orders when two more people ordered the same thing, but it was a damn uncomfortable evening nonetheless.
I got Facebook hacked by spam once and it sent a link to all my friends, the link it sent was for different things for everyone. It sent one to my ex, who broke up with me because of religious reasons (her being Christian, me not), the link it sent her was for bible studies.

Not an ex but when i was trying to clear an old group chat from my snapchat home screen i accidentally pressed the video call button. When I say old group chat I mean a group chat that we made for the front ensemble of my high school marching band, that I had graduated from a full year and a half ago. I'm about to be a junior in university and I am still extremely embarrassed by this occurrence.
In my experience, probably many people did think it was funny, but they did not think less of you! That is a mistake anyone could make and they were probably just glad it wasn't them.

I'll go first, I always had a strange habit of throwing stones on top of the school roof, in year 2-3 ish (look I'm British ok I don't know about American grades) I accidentally hit the staff room window... Eventually, I realized the abuse after finally opening up to my therapist. I blocked him and tried to cut him out of my life best I could. My friends called the cops on him after I told them what had been going on. wack and traumatic story wooo

I never accidentally sent my ex anything but my mom once answered the phone when he was calling, she was in a horrible mood and opened with "Shut the F*CK UP"... And since my mom and I have a similar voice I later got a Facebook message calling me all manner of slurs and hurtful things... Been a lot happier since I dropped that toxic friendship though, thanks mom.

This story is the other way around. My ex accidentally called me when I was on vacation. I picked it up then because I thought maybe he wanted to say sorry for a few things he said to me that made me break up with him. When he finally saw that I was on the line, he was like "oh sorry I didn't mean to do that, have a good day"... that was the only time he had ever called me... we were in a long distance relationship for 4 months
This is why it’s best to delete your ex’s number if you had an ugly breakup.
The love reaction reminds me of something that happened at work.
So I work in a restaurant and we use a single tablet to book all the orders into the computer. Us helps are only supposed to use it when absolutely certain because it's impossible to delete an order without getting the boss down - way too complicated.
Anyway, I was sure. What I didn't know was that my colleague who was responsible for orders that evening had heard the order and already booked it, so it was in there twice. In a panic, I tried to delete it (this was shortly after we had gotten a new tablet, so I'd hoped this one might have a deleting function) and apparently pressed a "repeat order" button of sorts. After that, the order was in three times and my colleagues were quite confused as to how the heck that had happened especially given that I already been chewed out.
My colleagues managed to redistribute the orders when two more people ordered the same thing, but it was a damn uncomfortable evening nonetheless.

I got Facebook hacked by spam once and it sent a link to all my friends, the link it sent was for different things for everyone. It sent one to my ex, who broke up with me because of religious reasons (her being Christian, me not), the link it sent her was for bible studies.

Not an ex but when i was trying to clear an old group chat from my snapchat home screen i accidentally pressed the video call button. When I say old group chat I mean a group chat that we made for the front ensemble of my high school marching band, that I had graduated from a full year and a half ago. I'm about to be a junior in university and I am still extremely embarrassed by this occurrence.
In my experience, probably many people did think it was funny, but they did not think less of you! That is a mistake anyone could make and they were probably just glad it wasn't them.
I think that if I did this, I might curl up and cry for a little while, so glad to see it’s funny to some people rather than traumatizing

This doesn’t have to do with exes, but I remember a specific time a while ago when I took a video of myself with a Pokémon plush in my hand, and me making the noise the Pokémon makes. The intended recipient of the video was my dad, who also likes Pokémon, but I accidentally sent it to my best friend. I immediately realized my mistake, and just typed very quickly to not watch the cringy video. Well, she did watch it, and was laughing hysterically at it. We’re still best friends after all these years (and that video), and she reminds me of that text often. 💀💀💀
