  • I wanted to see how long the Wolfe Ridge 17VS would take to fill up a IBC tote. I split 10 totes total today and the time killer was changing the totes out.

Someone recently commented on one of our videos saying that machine is slow. 🤨😂

Great setup! If I was doing firewood full time I would have to have it! 👍🏻👍🏻

John, love your videos, noticed you took the lights off your splitter??? My 17vs-c was supposed to be in by end of year but I have not received it yet, Chris said maybe by the end of January ? I have my fingers crossed. I’m super excited. I’m sure it will be well. Worth the wait!!
Take care and stay safe my friend .

Hey thanks yea I have lights in shop. I tarped it few times and didn’t want tarp on the lights. It’s worth the wait it’s alot of fun to split with also. The conveyer model is awesome too I have to see down the road if I will upgrade to that one or not.

    Nice setup!
I’d like to see a comparison between your setup and a box wedge.
Your splitting technique is very efficient.

Thanks I should have ran 2 cameras but needed to get alot split. I don’t have a box wedge on the SHO and honestly never ran one. I do like them but the amount of trash that comes off I don’t know if I would enjoy that part.

Another TH-camr estimated he lost 10% using the box wedge.
Split 10 pieces, throw one away.

@@Cinder2008 woah crazy! To me loosing the stick of wood wouldn’t bother me. But it’s the waist you have to clean up and cart around that I don’t like.

Works out nice! I can’t wait to use my new conveyor in the spring.

I think I am going with the 35 SHO for the box wedge but I would like to have both . There both good units .
