    IMPORTANT !!! I have spent several hours trying to get this to work. IMPORTANT is that the Relay Board needs to be showing the RED diode and NOT the BLUE diode on the board. The logfile showed that the board received the command to toggle relay but nothing happened when the blue LED was on. Press reset to get it from BLUE to RED.

    i "tasmotized" that, and added an RF433 receiver on RX pin, too, so i can toggle the relays via wifi or rf remote, too... all details are in the PERSONAL PROJECTS channel of the Tasmota Discord server... i use it to simulate the clicks on an actual (rolling code) remote i have, to turn on my porch light and my car gate :)

Tudnál valami támpontot nyújtani, vagy valami ehhez kapcsolódó tutoriált csinálni?! vagy leírni a pontos methodikát? Thanks for this video!
    I'm wondering if you can use tx, rx and ground pins to connect two switches/buttons. That would be great. I know ESP Easy is way more customizable of Tasmota firmware, but did you had the chance to trow it in to have a look?

    • @csongorvarga
      @csongorvarga  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did not try Tasmota. Tasmota can do many different things, so does ESP Easy, but keep in mind, that the buttons and the relays are behind a second MCU and we are not changing the code on that MCU. So we have the control what is programmed into that MCU. This is not a great product, but with ESP Easy you can get the most out of it.

    • @federicoleoni5121
      @federicoleoni5121 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I prefer Tasmota over EasyESP, where I don't need rules to bind relays to switches. More practical. I suspected the second MCU would limit the customization: since the ESP-01 is connected to it using serial (TX/RX) I think add switches/buttons would be complicated, if not impossible, considering you can't use those pins as GPIOs since they are already in use. Thanks anyway.

    • @csongorvarga
      @csongorvarga  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think we are lucky that somebody in the ESP Easy community spent the time to build this MCU control. There are so many other boards on the market that work better with Tasmota. And probably around the same time. I also like Tasmota for the predefined hardware layouts. Makes it easier, unless you are building something different.

      I was interested on this one since is quite easy to fit inside a switch box, normally I build myself over ESP12. I'll keep an eye on this one just for the sake of knowledge! ;)

    • @csongorvarga
      @csongorvarga  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you are right. I have not came across a small ESP8266 based all in one board like this. Maybe a Wemos mini with some stacked Wemos shields. But otherwise I also just build it myself from Wemos D1 Mini and relay boards. But that requires a bigger box...

    Hello CSongor,
    I've bought an ESP8266 Relay. I got it working really fast.
    I will use this relay inside my blinds system.
    My problem is when the power goes down. The relay starts in mode 1 (mobile mode) and i have to press the S1 button to connect the esp8266 to the router again.
    To do this i have to dismount my blinds and press the s1 button again. :(
    Is there a way to program the default mode to mode 2 (router mode) so when it starts again connects automaticaly to the router?
    Thanks

    How can I turn on/off BOTH relays at once? It is necessary for my roller shutter ..In openHab I can only define 3 commands (up,stop,down) and e.g. down needs both relays on, stop needs to turn both off and up needs only one relay switched on

    • @csongorvarga
      @csongorvarga  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can not. It has to be sent as two messages, so there will be a slight delay between the two relays.

      @@csongorvarga I managed to switch the relays directly with the ESP8266 using GPIO 0 & 2.
      Therefore I can switch the relays in four stages with on command like R1,R2: 0,0 | 0,1 | 1,0 & 1,1
      I didnt understand the role of this second microcontroller anyway. I think its because LC Tech wants you to use their server...

    • @csongorvarga
      @csongorvarga  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think ESP Easy will be perfect for that. ESP Easy has Rules in which you can create simple scripts. I did a separate video on that. You can call a rule from MQTT or HTTP as well where you can implement you on/off routine. I have worked with that in the past but only addressing physical GPIO buttons. I suggest you check the forum how to use this device with Rules.
