The way you approach each project on both of your channels are a revelation. From all the details and history, to the tasks you do together as a family, make this a favorite of mine! ❤️🙏 Just fab!
Love Marcs little puns 😁 great sence of humour Marc .I remember my nan using the blue blocks in her washing . Can wait untill we see the finished glass house ,plus the other glasshouse Marc has 😍
Lovely also to see the highland cattle again. The friendship between them and the pig is wonderful to behold! This video was really special with the various projects you showed us and the dramatic story of the near tragedy.
The blue is very soothing loved how the cows and pig get along i love highland cows all the best ❤😊 margo is a wonderfull companion part of the family 🎉😊❤
Your pig's attraction to the Highland "coos" mirrors the escaped pig from The Pethericks that was found socializing with the neighbor's cows. As commenters there noted, pigs are very social creatures and will seek out companions if they don't live with other pigs. But you probably know that. :D
Yep. Marc's a proper, trained, registered farmer :-) The only reason our pig is alone is that he's a rescue pig and we weren't set up for more when we unexpectedly took him in. We had another, but he escaped and never came back. We'll sort the pig situation as soon as we can!
The blue is really nice, oh I did not know colour makes a difference with the plants, Always happy to watch your vlog. I do laugh at Marc.. he is funny and he also got good a cheeky smile sometimes
I’m old enough to remember when we had a blue bag (a small solid chunk of blue in a small cloth bag) in the laundry. It was dissolved in the final rinse. This was before we had an automatic washing machine. I can also remember a TV ad for washing powder that went “the blue beads bleach and whiten, the white beads clean and brighten”. It’s funny how such old memories popped into my head when Amy mentioned blue in relation to laundry.
@@LostGardensofChateauRosieres I do. I love old buildings. The older the better. The story the men that lived in the chateau told you was very scary and thanks God his sister survived. What and amazing opportunity to know him! That is once in a lifetime opportunity.
I had to do the family laundry. We had a maytag wringer washer and a double cancrete tub. With 10 in the family there were a lot of white shirts. I used a blueing agent, and spray starch when ironing. That was in the 60's. The wet dog sounds like fun. As the cistern is partially under ground the wall will be damp taking longer to dry. They maid milk paint. The chipmunks seem to enjoy their new pet.
I truly did like it. The blue was very nice. I’m sure the plants will absolutely love love it Marc! Very humorous with moving the cows & Piggy. You’ll look back in the future of a mass chaos with young kids, a dog underfoot. The neighbors drop in the room being plastered as amusing times and times you cherish.❤😊❤ Thank you for sharing your achievements, big and small!
Pigs are very sociable creatures and shouldn't be kept alone. Ours is a rescue pig and we weren't expecting to have him so we haven't been able to set him up with others yet, but we will. They should never be isolated. We make sure to give him lots of attention whenever we can!
I watch both of your channels and I’m also subscribed. It’s fascinating to see what you are doing on both channels. I absolutely LOVE your highland cows!!! They are adorable and my favorite. 🐮 The water leak in your chateau was so unfortunate. I’m glad the plumber was able to find it and stop the leak. Leaks are so frustrating. We’ve had a number of them in our house. Our house has been repiped and our roof is being replaced. We still have 1 leak to figure out. The upstairs shower leaks onto the floor downstairs right in front of the half bathroom. It’s driving me crazy! Hopefully we will figure it out soon. Love your channels! 👍🏻😉🥰💙🐶🍷🙏
Great job love the colours you have chosen pale blue and white nice, I enjoyed watching the little piggy with the cows so funny no-one wants my bread😂, greenhouse coming on nicely.take care see you both next time 💕🤗
We pay somebody to film and edit now! I just didn’t have time with all the work, and little kids. Hopefully the channels will start to make money so we can afford to keep going!
The piggy thinks he’s a cow! They are all so beautiful. The blue looks good and there’s a scientific reason for the color. Great job. The project is so exciting. xx
That pig is so cute. I really hope he is a pet not being fattend up to eat. Him and the cows though, so lovely. The work you both do is incredible, even more so as you have young children.
Amy I have been watching a very long tome. You have always had amazing vlogs.i am excited to see your greenhouse and all the plants! I love the color and the brightness.
I remember those they were called Dolly Blues. My mum used them and Dolly Tubs to hold clothes soaking in water. Not forgetting the mangle with bìg wooden rollers.
Amy, when my husband moves our cattle on the farm he feeds them with a bit of corn from a bag for a few days prior to the move they then relate the sound of the corn in the bag to a nice treat and will follow the sound of the bag being shaken. Might be worth a try xx
I love the blue color. Of corse it helps that it is my favorite color 😉 but anyway, I think it is perfect for the room and what you say about the plants absorbing light from it makes totally sense. About the pig. I think you should consider finding a friend or two to sweet little Piggy. Pigs are herd animals and he definetly misses some friends to play and cuddle with. Pigs are extremely social creatures and they even sleep together in one big "pile" when they live in a herd. So if you really want to make him happy you should consider a couple of more little piggies ❤
Another great video. Loved watching you move the stubborn cows and the friendship piggies has for them. Really interested to hear about the colour choice, which looks beautiful and lightened the space so much. You are great custodians for this beautiful estate. ❤
I have a dear frient SW of Toulouse who has two highlanders. They had a 3rd but she crossed the bridge 2 years ago. Truly magnificent cows. One of theirs escaped a few years back and was found 2 miles away grazing a few days later. Thank you for this most enjoyable video.
Plaster on the wall looks great. It is difficult moving those highlands cows when there is so much good grass to eat along the way😆. My son just spent four days putting up stronger electric fence to keep his highland cows in they love escaping and making him spend half a day rounding them up.
European history major here …. I love watching you bring buildings from back in time into use again! Love me some Highland cattle! Cute, cuddly and their color is amazing. Glad you were able to bring them into your world. My family had a small farm with many of the animals you have. Had cattle, horses, rabbits, pigs and many things fowl but no Highlands! Your children are beautiful. Love watching them grow and enjoy the home you are making. Enjoy you sharing the saving of this lovely estate. Blessed to visit France years ago. Adieu

The greenhouse is going to look wonderful (already does, although it's unfinished) as well as being super functional. I'm looking forward to seeing it finished and full of plants, and especially the irises.

I really like the blue for the color of the wall. I guess it just reminds me of the color of the sky. Kathy USA 🇺🇸
It will dry a little lighter but it's so pretty as it is, I agree!

Last week Michael Petherick’s pig kept escaping and going to the farm next to their Chateau to hang with the cows too. Funny companions.
I watched the Pethericks then too and now I wonder if there is some kind of special relationship between pigs and cows. 🤔
