- With AI voice cloning I was able to dub over an Episode of The Real Ghostbusters with AI generated voices of the original actors Ernie Hudson, Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Annie Potts in their respective roles. Pretty neat and slightly scary and concerning at the same time.

This just shows how perfect the casting was for the cartoon VA's and how perfect the characters' designs were. Even though this is AI, you can just feel how right everything is. I'm struggling to articulate my thoughts so I don't know if this makes sense.
I get what you’re saying and you’re right, this AI dubbing wouldn’t have worked nearly as well if the actual voices didn’t already match the vibe of their film counterparts. It’s like autotuning, a computer can only cover up so much.

In the cartoon venkman was voiced by garfield the cat. Years later bill murray did the voice for garfield
It was kinda wrong that they were all recast in the first place, but at the same time it's also hard to imagine film actors back then doing much voiceover work at all.

The A.I.Harold voice almost sounds like Maurice LaMarche's since Maurice intended to sound like Harold in the first place.
First the Ghostbusters video game in 2009 with the OG actors’ voices lent to said video game and now this!
It is good almost like they fit the parts.. did you know Ernie hudson wanted to play his own part in the cartoon? Why didn't they let him? He would have been great for his part. 😁👍

It's been a while since I watched the show, but the Egon voice didn't sound too different.
If we can get every episode dubbed what would happen? But like keep it underground and pass it around like the old days when they would pass around anime and sci fi movies on vhs at conventions.

Somehow this is what I was always hoping...at least Dave Courlier is not in it LOL. The OG Movie voices fit very well.
