Bravo l'artiste ! 👏
That's a great concept. A few weeks ago the Bassmasters Elite Series on Lake Murry was won on a lure called the Riser that Mega Bass will be releasing this year. The two young gentlemen that placed in the top 10 we're using that lure on schooling fish feeding on the Shad spawn. Now that lure is innovative. But as always great craftsmanship brother
And still It have a stable and realistic movement. Interesting... But the castability got to be too bad. Maybe a Little bit of lead is not bad to put in It. If It swims. Anyway... You are one of the very best in lure making world. Always love your lures so much. Thank you again.
Really nice. It also somewhat resembles a salmon trolling plug that when attached to a leader and beadchain will from the looks of it spin and swim well. I make some plugs of similar shape and they've worked well for Chinook salmon. (theyre definitely not as pretty as yours!)
Amazing work, I can see these being true pike magnets. As for the belly hook, as soon as I saw that you didn't have one I got to thinking how to incorporate a single hook by snelling it to the wire harness and make it a part of molding process. Also, as everyone pointed out, there are no weights in the lure, that may be your preference but I'd make mine slowly rising, much much slower by either manipulating resing to microballons ratio or by adding weight.
Great job! It reminds me of the Prowler lure that Heddon introduced back in 1972. I found one of these at a yard sale several years ago and was surprised at how well it worked but found out they were no longer available. Since then I’ve found some affordable ones on eBay. Again, great job I always enjoy watching your videos.
The problem with those were that no one watched them. But there are some nice looking vistas where i live now. So maybe one day i will bring the fishing portion back.
Well, that was kinda ages ago, I think youtube changed somewhat, I think more people these days would like to see a lure made and used. I guess it would take more time to make a video, and I guess your whole making process already takes a lot of time, but try it again at some point @@SolarfallBaits
I've watch a couple hundred different lure makers online. And of them all, you have carved more scales than any I've seen. Not only more, but you probably carve some of the best scales out there! Just out of curiosity... Do you have any idea how many scales you've carved all time? Has to be hundreds of thousands!!! Super job!
@@SolarfallBaits you have planted seed in my brain... I want make my own lures to and i have made 1 1/2 half and soon maybe 2 1/2 😅 This lure looks 2 good 👍
I have done some research on true coat epoxy and l have learned it's a bit expansive. I'm not adult yet and my mother won't accept buy 40 € of resin. In your opinion, what can I buy cheaper for lure coating ? English is not my native language and l hope I'm understandable.
try the belly hook on the side of the bait like the japanese lures, it suspends them on their side near the surface like a dying fish. You can cast the baits out and dead stick them just letting them float and they get hit sometimes just sitting or doing small twitches that make the bait dart like a dying fish. It's a very productive lure that catches fish. Adding a feathered treble hook to the tail can help too if you fish it more like pencil or popper.
This guy is a miniature painter he uses washes all the time but with oil paint, he gets very striking effects. though I would expect to have to use a mid-coat before epoxy. www.youtube.com/@MarcoFrisoniNJM

I dont think i’ve heard of that lure before. They do make a silent riser but i guess if the lure is not released yet that cant be it
The one thing I noticed is that you might want to make a prototype with a little weight in it. Almost like neutral buoyancy just a thought.
Riser lures are available now alot of places, Amazon, etc, if the bent riser lure is what OP was talking about.
maybe its like the Jackall Riser Bait?
I think they sell lure blanks for that bait on a few websites
Nicest than ever. Impressive 2mm scale carving. Great action. Piece of art, no words, hands down. I missed where you placed the lead.
There is no lead in the lure

Yes your right they do share similarities
Excellent work again! I always love you realistic paintjobs!
Thanks, those are my favs too

indeed more experimentation is still needed i think. i'm sure i will keep experimenting with this style a little bit more in the future.

Once again. An amazing, realistic, functional work of art.
Thanks for checking out the video
Very cool and realistic job!!! Thanks for the movie.
Thanks for checking out the video
Fantastic! I like the pink, it works.
Amazing work of art; as usual !
Thank you! Cheers!
Yet another masterpiece Mikko.
Regarding a touch of pink...it seems to get me a few more bites
Yeah i figured it cant hurt right
Those look so bad ass Mikko! Beautiful work as usual brother!
Thanks moses the project did turn out pretty cool i have to say
@@SolarfallBaits the pink on the belly is a nice touch by the way.
long and meticulous work with an excellent result, I would always keep my mask and fins ready in case of stranding! 😅👍👍👍
You´re so skilled and have soo much patience. I get stressed out just watching you (ADHD). :)
Amazing results, a truely work of art.
thanks, sometimes i get stressed out too. especially when things don't go my way like they didn't on this one.
very nice, I have a heddon prowler, I hope to make one of these one day :D
Really cool design!
Osp makes a lure called the bent minnow which is very similar
What clear coat do you use
Awesome lures, as always. But I have to ask, where can I get some of that TrueCoat?!:P
@@DerbiSR you can get it here trueglidelures.com
Este formato não compromete a resistência da isca quando tracionar o peixe ?
The finished lure has a molded wireless inside the body so it should be fine.
So elegant
Beautiful lure and great action! Did you tie directly to the line tie or use a split ring? If you tied directly, did you use a loop knot?
I have a little lure lock in there
Nice lure man well cool 😎 👍
Masterful work as always, but do you get to go fishing at all? I liked the old pike fishing videos you did years ago, some more of that would be nice.

The master baiter!
It mimicks a dying bait fish perfectly 😮😊
They look unreal..
thank you, i think they did turned out rather fabulous too.
Very nice mate great job
You didnt ad any weight or what
Do you recoat the epoxy on top of already hardened one?
actually no, i always add the next layer when the previous is still tacky but not runny. that way you achieve good adhesion between the layers.
What airbrush do you use?

hmm i'm not familiar with that lure, i need to look it up.
Perfeita 👏🏼👏🏼
Why do you use epoxy resin and not UV resin to seal the lure ?
UV resin is not made to be used with fishing lures. True coat epoxy is. thats basically why

2mm scales OMG
Mikko,id like to purchase some blanks from your molded version
I probably won’t be selling any of those
Maybe a Magnet could hold the hook to the belly and be attached by wire to the tie on eye.
👍👍👍👍👍
Can you start doing more fishing with your lures?
We shall see. I currently dont have a action cam
No weight?
There is weight in just didn’t show that part
