But since getting the new Shalimar, it's made me realise how much i want the real deal Tonka Imperial. I love the sound of Velvet Tonka, and i don't mind that playdough scent. Xxx
I have both Guerlain “Tonka Imperial” and Dior “Feve Delicious” and on me, side by side (one on each wrist) I cannot tell them apart except that the Feve has much longer lasting power. They really are almost identical after ~30 minutes dry down.
I love Tonka Imperiale. The only problem is that it doesn’t last for hours. I just respect because I love it so much. I was in Italy recently and picked up The new Merchant of Venice collection Accordi di Profumi Tonka. It’s made for layering or you can wear on it’s own. They are only in 30ml bottles and I wish I had picked up two of them. It smells so good on its own and layered with other scents. I’m in the USA and Merchant of Venice is not readily available here.
I would recommend you try Hermes Vetiver Tonka ...it is completely different from most of the tonka you mention in this video. But, it is gorgeous, unisex, fresh yet the dry down is sexy, warm, and comforting. A very special fragrance. Only fragrance I have finished the entire bottle
I love Jo Malone’s Myrrh and Tonka…I just got a sample of Velvet Tonka and I like it but my daughter did point out that it smelled like a fancy one play dough and now I can’t un smell that.

I just bought Aura Tonka at ScentXplore convention over the weekend. What a wonderful discovery!! They are distributed by Abaton in the US, and they carry so many wonderful niche brands (I love their Chinotto Gourmand, created by Marco Abaton)! Glad to see you feature this beautiful fragrance. I do have the Guerlain but I am on the fence on whether to sell it or not since more serious collectors might appreciate it more. It IS lovely though and every time I test it I want to keep it. Still, I have been accumulating too many! I have the smallest Le Labo Tonka 25, and I feel like a rough and tumble tomboy who is ready for anything when I wear it.

Being a TONKA STAN lol - and because of this video** -- I ordered a decant of Nishane Tero and OMG 😮 Love At First Sniff. After sampling about a dozen different Nishane fragrances - this is my first full bottle. I immediately ordered the 3.4 fl oz. (I'll also buy Ani, but I have a kind dupe that smells so similar I want to use up first)... and I also ended up buying a 10ml decant of Montale Arabians Tonka. I have high hopes! 🤞🤞 I saw some reviews comparing to Intense Cafe (I don't need another IC clone). Do you find it different than the Intense Cafes & Roses Vanilles of the perfume world?? 😟
I think Arabians Tonka very different personally, it’s a lot more dense and heavy. I struggle to wear it but smells incredible on other people. Tero is amazing isn’t it, so underrated overall and from Nishane. Tonka has my heart 🥰🥰🥰

Great list Hayley! Would you say owning Feve Tonka would be redundant as I already own BDK's Velvet Tonka? I too didn't like Le Labo's Tonka (wasn't sweet enough), nor did I like Montale's Arabian Tonka (smelled like Intense Cafe). Some other tonka fragrances you might like are Bois Dore, Laboratorio Olfattivo's Tonkade (beautiful cardamom + tonka). Guerlain's Tonka Imperiale is a must!

Orchidee rouge and rouge smoking are both really lovely too. The nail colour is the gel bottle cacao with white chrome powder on top 😊
