Watching sunrise on top of Laurel Mountain (11,812')

August 7th 2018 - Started hiking from the bottom of Laurel Lakes 4x4 road at around 3am to make it up to the summit in time to watch the sun pop up over the eastern horizon. I love the sense of anticipation for the sun, love the pre-dawn and early AM light, love the peaceful solitude of the high mountains, truly an awesome moment.
Laurel Mountain is easily seen from the town of Mammoth Lakes, where I live, so it begs to be climbed.
