My 2000 Scrambler sounds just like this, thanks for the show. I II check the clutch.
Torque that center bolt down and possibly shim them. Also bad idler bearing on primary clutch.
Agree. My 550 primary is good, but felt a slack with hand turn it, a ticking while idle. Could it be damper nut loose?

The whole thing is the clutch although I gues it's technically not really a clutch but a variator.

I think I just cleaned it out and let it be. Hasn't been bothering since.
