girl, pretty much middle school sweethearts!! someone in the comments did the math and said that they (or at least des, i’m not sure if izac is the exact same age) was/were 13!!
Can we talk about how Des absolutely COMMITTED to giving August her month?! 👏🏼 The cardigan? The braids? The Folklore vinyl in the back? Bestie is giving August her all and it does not go unnoticed! 👏🏼
Aw 8 years and being this young is so special!! I have been with my now husband for 12 years. Started dating when I was 14. It’s so rare. Happy for you!!❤
0:55 „Did I hit you hard?“ He‘s like cm‘on you‘re weak lmao 😭 Love this new method of TBR choosing, more of Isac and Des content!! Also you‘ve been dating for 8 years? :O THAT’S SO SWEET

Love this! I told my man about this and he said he do it tomorrow but then he goes to back room, and surprises me by coming out with 5 books for me to read this month. Here's the 5 my man picked. 1. Wyoming Legend by Diana Palmer 2. Gentlemen Seeks Bride by Megan Frampton 3. Sooner or Later by Debbie Macomber 4. Wings by Aprilynne Pike 5. Wait for me by An Na
the folklore girlies and book girlies rising in august! Also not me wondering when des will post her picking tbr video and then 3 seconds later des posts like best day ever!!!!🎉
A Man Called Ove is one of my most favorite books of ALL TIME. I love all his books but Ove is the one that caught me first. He is one my favorite authors.
When I tell you I GASPED WHEN SHE PICKED UP I FELL IN LOVE WITH HOPE. It's my most favorite book of all time it's SOOOOO GOOOD. It has such good writing and considering it's the authors debut novel she ATE with the writing. It's soo devastatingly beautiful and I'm soo overjoyed that des picked it up . Trust me des prepare the tissues for this book😢😢😢 and since your aching for a deep book you'll have a great time
Hey, have you read "The Green Mile" book by Stephen King? If you've read did you like it? I mean yeah I've started new to this book by him but it doesn't hit as hard as it hit in "The Lightning" book by him. I don't want to lose interest in this book therefore I wanted to ask you if you've read😊
@@nermin420 hey! I haven’t read that one yet! I hope it gets more interesting for you! Also, if you do finish, you’ll have to tell me if it’s worth reading 😊

This is how you lose the time war is my favorite book I’ve ever read!!!! The prose is stunning and the story made me sob. Just know going into it, at first you’re like ???? But it just gets better and better and by the end, was just like wow. This is IT.
Some recs of books that I would say are emotional reads: Sula by Toni Morrison, Open Water by Caleb Azumah Nelson , Giovanni's room by James Baldwin, Swimming in the Dark by Tomasz Jedrowski and Almond by Won-Pyung Sohn
I've been waiting 2 YEARSSSSS for you to read a man called ove!!!! i was talking about you with my mom yesterday and how i've wanted you to read it for so long - and now i saw this and screamed!!! manifested it or something omgggg, forever grateful for your boyfriend now ahahah! sara recently read beartown and anxious people which made me so happy, but i'm constantly just waiting for y'all to read ove!!! i read it when i was 13, i'm 23 now. i met fredrik then before he was this famous and his books had been translated to english. he signed my books and talked with me for a long time, he's so down to earth and funny. i gave him my school project i had written about the book and his life, and he read it in front of me and gave it an A+ lol! i still think about ove regularly, i feel like his books are very character driven and i walk around life thinking "this person could be written by backman" or "he should write a book on this person". he shaped my life, and while i don't love all of his books - a man called ove and his novella "every morning the way home gets longer and longer" is truly something i'll cherish for the rest of my life. i hope you love it!!!! i cried like a baby, i remember you not reading it at one point because you thought it would be a sad book. it kind of is, but it is so beautiful. and the romance is so beautiful!!!
I read the ex vows as an arc and loved it!! I hope you enjoy Des❤ I’m also the mod in your book club that told you how much I lovedddd ‘dishonestly yours’ when I red it as an arc
My schools summer reading was Animal Farm! I hope you can get to it this month, i can definitely say i enjoyed it. You dont even know how exited i was when i saw you holding it up!! Sending lots and lots of love from PR❤️
I love this is how you lose the time war but just know that the book is written to be confusing and you’re not really supposed to know how the time travel element works 💕. It’s a beautiful book so don’t get frustrated with yourself if you don’t know what’s going on 😘
Very curious to hear your thoughts about Saturday Night At The Lakeside Supper Club! (and the reason for why your bf chose that book was indeed very cute!! 💕)
Des!! If you want a deeply emotional love story I would definitely recommend White Nights by Dostoyevsky, and it also would fall into your reading more classics goal, it’s less than 100 pages but SO beautifully written and not hard to understand at all. I feel like I think about this book every week since I’ve read it
You giys are SO cute together!! I loved this video idea and loved hearing his thought process of why he chose what he did and why he thought you would like it!!
a book that i didn’t plan on reading in 24 hours and made me cry. is “the door to door bookstore” by Carsten Henn. 5 star book for me, but look at trigger warnings as i didn’t and connected with the main character more
the perks of being a wallflower i’m currently reading it and i’m not very far in but from what i’ve heard from friends and on goodreads, it’s a book with a lot of depth to it and it’s not super long 💕
I think for book videos it’s gunna be mood read with me, reading classics for a week, and mabye reading Stephan King for a week (becuase of the two Stephan King books)
SO excited you’re picking up A Man Called Ove!! My favorite book of all time, so beautiful, and 10x’s better than the movie (even though the movie itself is also good!)
The Ex Vows doesn’t look like a book I’d read based on the title and cover but I read it over the last 2 days and LOVED IT you will love it, it is so reminiscent of Happy Place
If you are craving deep feelings, The Nightingale will scratch that itch for you. So many big feelings. I had to take a book break after I finished to process.
If you’re looking for good emotional books that make you really think and feel but still carry an overall uplifting message/theme- I highly recommend “As Long as the Lemon Trees Grow” and “Daughters of Shandong.” They’re both historical fiction and absolutely beautiful 😊
READING CLASSICS FOR A WEEK!!! Also I have to say that Animal farm is my absolute favorite classic book I've ever read, I loved how George Orwell used animals as a metaphor for different Russian politics and the whole revolution, his writing was nit at all hard to understand, I read it in a day because I was gripped!!
Des ik this has been on your tbr for a bit but i think the harry potter series would be the perfect for you rn. i’m currently reading it for the first time and i’m LOVING it. i’m on the 4th book and i’m already so emotionally attached to all the characters. it’s such a fun read, and perfect for the fall
ALSO completely off topic but you got me addicted to Dot’s cinnamon sugar pretzels and my life has been forever changed. thank you for your service ma’am 🙏🏼🥨🤍
The red rising series gets so much better with Golden Sun! I felt the same way reading Red Rising, I didn’t really know if I liked it or not. I feel like you take on a lot of world building in the first book that once you start understanding the book it is over. So Golden Sun is easier to read. I am currently on Morning Star and it gets so good!
I think you will absolutely love the nightingale. It’s super emotional like you were describing you needed to read. It’s very deep and very frustrating to read at times but it was very well written . It was a great book! Please read ♥️
The book thief and if we were villains are fantastic reads that deeply affected me when I read them. I still think about them daily even though I read them both years ago!
