@@TheFitChemisthey do you know about the start and end time feature? I can't use it before they are pegged to each other/meaning it starts/ends at exactly the same time.

Thanks for this video. I've been using it for a week and didn't know about all these features.
No prob! Hope it was helpful
Great information. The only thing I would say is you went through it very fast. Sometimes made it hard to follow.
I had this app for 1 year n didn't know I could do that 😑thank you
Thanks for the inform>ation. I have just added Strong and want to set it up correctly from the start. I have a workout plan and use google sheets to track. I want to take my old onfo workouts and add it to kind of start my history and populate some numbers. Is that do able? Thanks again
Not that I’m aware of 😕
Easy of use💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Great tutorial
Thank you!
i wish if there was any app which can auto design my home workout
Google Pumpd.fit
I also have a video on this in my free Skool community. Head to the community tab on my page and you’ll see a post with the link to join
Also, have you tried other apps and picked this one out of the choices you came across? Thanks again.
Hey there! This was one of the first and only apps I tried. I love it. The only thing I don’t like is that they don’t have a coaching portal/coaching feature I can use with clients
Can u add images/videos when you customize a workout?
I don’t think so!
I have pro. I want to know how to build on my workouts. I want to do the same workout every other day and track how I’m doing. I don’t want to add a workout every morning. Is that possible?
@@joancrowley9164 yes. After you do it once click “save as template” and name it whatever you’d like. Then it will show up in your workout library
Very informative video! How do I send a workout to someone?
Click the “…” button and then share button! It has to be saved as a template first though 😄
@@TheFitChemist fantastic! So glad I found you! New sub here!
@@marcielogan7858 thanks! Welcome 😃
I have another question. If I buy premium so I can create more than 3 workouts, does my client have to buy it also if I’m sending him more than 3 workouts?
Great review! Has helped me navigate the app. Thanks
You’re welcome! Glad it helped 😄
Yo bro I got a link and when I opened it I by mistake didn’t put it into a template and now when I open it again it says stored on this app but I can’t find it! Would love to know where to find it !!
Did you find out how to do this because I have the same issue
@@kubzale not yet sadly
Excellent job with rapid firing all the information. I'm going to use it.
Let me know how you like it!
@@TheFitChemist it really works well for me. I'm glad I have it.
I've been using this app, but I wish it would let me do a custom exercise with a time metric. For example, I want to do vacuums, but I cannot hold for duration.
You can do this! Add a new exercise and then set the category to duration
Can you add supersets or giant sets to a workout in the strong app?
Not that I’m aware of. I would just add all exercises and add in the notes section for each exercises something like “Giant set A1, giant set A2, etc”
When you add 2-3 exercises to the template it gives you an option “Superset”
Thanks
Got the app
Had fun with it
You’re welcome!
Can the app track drop sets?
@@NelsonRodriguezOnlin yes! Just click the set number while tracking a lift and change it to drop set
Did they remove the feature to create folders? I can't find it. But great video bro
Thanks, Lars! If you're on the "start workout" tab, there should be a folder icon next to the "+Template" button. Click the folder icon and it will prompt you to create a folder name. Hope that helps!
My doesn’t say routine it says template
Got a question for you regarding logging single arm dumbbell exercises. Let's say I'm doing 1 set/8 reps of bicep curls with a 10lb dumbbell on my right arm, and then repeat the same for my left arm. How would I log this correctly? Do I log each arm as being it's own set (ie: 1x8 and enter the weight as 10lbs) and then repeat another set for the other arm? Or should I combine both arms into 1 set and just combine the weights (ie: 1x8 @ 20lbs)? Since I'm assuming if you're holding 2 10lbs dumbbells at the same time, that would equal/total out to a 20lb load?
Either one, just pick one and be consistent! What I typically do is create a new exercise called "Single arm DB curl" and then track it as 10 lbs for 8 (as you were describing). You can also write a note to yourself that this is how you are tracking it and use the pin feature so that note pops up every time you do this exercise.
thanks, im about to start gym with the reddit PPL from r/fitness & have programmed each A/B workout in there, as well as been able to pin notes with queues & other information on certain exercises
Awesome! Enjoy the app and workout program.
What are the updated numbers my man?
Well done!
@@baronadelmann3544 thank you!
I think buying the forever price is worth it. I been using it for 4 days and I love it. I’ll try the yearly just to see how I like it. Then if I love it. I’ll buy the whole 99 which is not bad for your health. It’s literally an investment.
Yup! I think it’s worth it 😄
Will it track with Apple Health?
help.strongapp.io/article/147-sync-with-apple-health
Great vid Tyler. Would you mind saying what app you use to get that phone on screen like that? It's v cool
I use premiere pro to edit my videos. I looked up a blank iPhone template, removed any background in Photoshop, and then added the phone frame as a layer in premiere pro and then put the screen recording behind that layer.
Hope that helps!
@@TheFitChemist Thanks very much Tyler
Thank you, I’ve only been using for a week and learned a couple new features. I have 1 question that I can not figure out plz? After a workout, it shows the total weight lifted. How is this calculated? The amount shown is way more than I actually lifted.
If I had to guess, it’s probably sets x reps x weight and then add it all together across all exercises
Thanks for your response. Yes, that’s what I would think also. However the amount shown is much more than what I lifted. Have you ever checked yours? I lifted 14185lbs today. It shows 24483lbs. @@TheFitChemist
Nice vid thanks man
You’re welcome Tony!
Can you back date workouts
Ie. Transfer my written journal to this
Yes! Enter/track it as a normal workout and then after you click finish it should show up in your history tab. Then click the “…” button, then “edit workout” , then “…” again next to the workout name, and finally “adjust start/end time”. Hope that helps!
Awesome app! Great info, thanks for sharing! 👏🏻😊
Thank you for this video! It’s very helpful
Hi Lynda! I saw your original comment was asking about supersets. Yes, this is a pro feature. Highly recommend making the small investment because there are many other awesome pro features! Let me know if you have any other questions :)
What do the numbers below 1RM mean after the workout is finished?
I believe it is your one-rep max estimate for that lift. I'll double-check after my workout today
Very helpful video, thank you so much!!
You’re welcome! Hope you’re liking the app :D
Nice vid❤
Thank you!
great tutorial, mate, and I'm sold on the app.
how to view back to any body part??? once choosen part clicked
Home page -> Add exercise -> any body part -> select body part
@@TheFitChemist Sorry that doesnt work. so i start in Excersices - then say view - Any body part - arms - The app removes all others...how to get back to the full list with out closing app...Whats the HOME page? sorry i must be stupid
@@christopherfuller2401 just click it again.
So if you click “any body part” and click legs the button will turn to “legs”. Click that button again and then click the check mark to remove the filter
@@TheFitChemist many thanks - easy when you know how..lol
I did like the workout overview but I wish the same information was presented over 30 minutes instead of 14 minutes. I started and stopped but the information was still presented in such a rapid-fire rate that I gave up and went to another presentation on Strong that presented it a bit slower. Got a lot more out of it.
I’m not sure how I could have spread it over 30 minutes besides for talking slower
Glad you found another video helpful though! Hope you like the app!
Hi, can you please tell me how to add a workout plan/template of my friend, I have the link, I want to add those templates in my profile, but I dnt how, can you tell me how to do it?
Hi Shubrajit! You should be able to open the workout template that your friend sent you and then click on save workout.
Maybe this link will help: help.strongapp.io/article/177-update-template
How do you change the auto rest timer? I can't for the life of me find out how.
Click the “…” next to the exercise and then click auto rest timer
@@TheFitChemist Is there a way to change the auto rest timer for a template instead of having to individually change the rest timer for each excercise?
@@anton9814 I think you have to do it individually for each exercise but once you save it, it should update all of them and you won’t have to do it again
@@TheFitChemist Ahh, it's fine. Thank you anyways :)
Great review Tyler. Totally sold me on getting this app. Quick question: When sharing routines with clients, will custom exercises transfer over to them as well?
To the best of my knowledge, yes! Whatever you save in a template will transfer over when you text the workout to your client. I haven’t had any issues with it
Hello! Great video! I'd like to know if the app syncs with the Health app. Also, it have Apple Watch features, have you tried that out? Please enlighten me.
Hi Don. Thanks! I believe it does sync with the health app and also has watch features but I personally don’t use them
@@TheFitChemist Thanks for the rapid response! I look forward to watching your content!
Good video once you got down to business. You skipped over a few drawbacks on this app. I've been using the free version of this app and I'm about to delete it for these reasons: 1) Only three templates on the free version; 2) if you finish a workout and you wind up not doing all of the lifts in the template, you have the option of saving but it will remove any lifts that you didn't do from the template. Then you lose the history for that lift. Really annoying; 3) I'm not a spring chicken. I wear reading glasses and some of the text on this app is tiny. I'm on an iPhone 13 and even if I increase the text size, it doesn't affect the app; 4) $30 for a year seems high.
Hey there!
Unfortunately, there aren't any workarounds to your drawback #1 (outside of paying for premium).
Regarding drawback #2 - there is a way to save it without getting rid of the lifts you missed
Drawback #3 - not sure how to get around this one 😂
Drawback #4 - I think $30 for a year is worth it... Some people spend that on coffee in 4 days
@@TheFitChemist Thanks for your reply. I'm trying RepCount (iPhone) now. I'd consider going back but I must be missing something about the drawback #2. I just tried simulating an abbreviated session, tapped Finish and get the message "All invalid or empty sets will be removed. All valid sets will be marked as completed." The only options are 'cancel' or 'Finish'. Finish will wipe out the sets you didn't do. Maybe in the paid version??? #2 is a deal breaker and I don't want to blow $30 to find out. Maybe I'll reach out to the developer. Thanks again.
@@21847835g it just removes it from that tracked workout. After you click finish you then get a second pop up that says “update values only” or “update template and values”. The second one is highlighted in red bc it will save your workout template without those sets you missed
@@TheFitChemist Just tried it. I never went past that first pop-up because I didn't want to lose anything. It's kind of misleading. Thanks. Might be worth upgrading.
Is it free?
@@shoopaboopa there’s a free version and paid version. Free lets you do most things!
Is it worth the one time fee of $99 for this app? I really hate subscription models.
I think so! Especially if you'll be using it for multiple years like I have. Try out the free version first and see if you like it :D
@@TheFitChemist Have you tried Hevy? It's a similar app. Would like to hear your thoughts on it compared to Strong.
@@user-zc9zt2vl5s I have not! I've been a strong user for 2-3 years now. It has everything I need so I haven't tried anything else, but perhaps I'll look into it and do a video on it
The routine thing is not here
What do you mean?
without premium I was able to create only 3 wrkout templates but I want 5
everytime when I want to create another template it automatically moves me to buy a pro version
please tell me is there only 3 max templates
They’re a company and need to make money. Can’t give everything away for free. It sounds like you like the app enough to want 5 templates so the pro version would be worth the investment :’)
how can i EDIT my templater for a new day, i cant edit the weight that i used previously. There is a lock icon on it. pls help
Hi Scott, I would love to help. Can you please provide a little more information? Are you within a current workout and trying to change the previous weight? Or are you trying to change the saved workout template itself? If you provide some more detail I may be able to better assist you.

Exactly what we need me and my gf , 😎
Yr intro is too long no use a long intro in 2024
This video was posted three years ago…
Ok
50 seconds in to the video and still nothing relevant about the strong app. This ain't it my guy.
The 38k views and 861 likes say otherwise, but thanks for boosting the engagement!
Hope you have a nice day and find what you’re looking for 😄
@@TheFitChemist It's just feedback. If you think making people wait 50 seconds into a video before even beginning to address why they're there is a good idea, maybe it's time to stop and reflect.
You should also consider your own thoughts and opinions while you sit through the beginning of someone else's video, tapping your fingers on the desk, waiting for them to get to the point, waiting for the intro animations to finish, waiting for them to finishing their marketing pitch, waiting for them to finish their small talk, waiting for relevance.
Finally, your argument isn't cogent, since A) whatever numbers you present as backing your case don't speak to whether each and every decision you made in the video was prudent. The case could be made that people stayed despite various decisions, not because of them. B) it suggests that even better numbers weren't easily attainable.
@@zoomingby you’re upset it took 50 seconds to get to the video but took the time to write this lengthy response?
If you don’t like my video that’s cool. No one is forcing you to watch it. I hope someone else has what you’re looking for!
Again, thanks for the engagement and have a nice day!
@@TheFitChemist Lol, who's upset? Look man, I tried to help. If you need to view every criticism as a personal attack over which you need to get defensive, you do you. Last reply. Later.
