The water pipe should be 750mm deep (as per regulations) to protect against frost. Which means you would have found it if you'd dug down a little more. The existing pipes would be good.

I am going to really enjoy watching your progress, are you going to have caravans back on the site? I will be watching eagerly for your next Vlog. Take care x
Thanks so much Lesley! We will be self-building park homes instead of having actual caravans, building them within the regulations of park homes, so they will be more modern and more like a Scandinavian black, bunglow cabin. So will be alot warmer and should last longer than traditional caravans. We would love to have seasonal glamping on the land too ☺
Hello. As someone who has done plenty of reno's (but not a caravan park themed one) on acreage - buy yourselves 2 walkie talkies. So much easier than yelling at each other from opposite ends of the land. They even come in handy when one person is on the top floor and the other person is on the floor below when you are trying to sort something out. Sound doesn't travel that well! They are also handy when you have two cars that are going to the tip or moving stuff - you can stay in contact and because it is not a phone you can just pick it up, talk and drive. Will make your life that much easier. We have a little hobby farm in Tasmania Australia. Love your channel and will be watching how you go. All the best.

Just found your channel so will look out for more content. I was almost sick when Jon walked into that disgusting caravan and the state it was left in- he is braver than I am for sure. I have yet to watch all of your other videos, but I plan on it today. If you haven’t mentioned it in yet, I hope you consider answering some of these questions in future videos (so long as it doesn’t invade your privacy or anyone else’s): Why was the caravan park abandoned? Did the owners pass on? Did a bank seize the property? Are all of the caravans filled with abandoned things? Was the park like a commune where friends and family lived there together? Was it like a business someone ran in which people to rented the caravans for a vacation or a place to stay for a while? Obviously, I don’t expect a reply to this comment. I just love learning the history of the people who lived in abandoned places. I follow a lot of this kind of content and completely understand how delicate talking about the previous owners can be. 🥰
Thanks for watching and for joining us on our renovation journey! We are more than happy to answer 🥰 Why was the caravan park abandoned? - it used to belong to the old coal mine/colliery and the caravan park had 20 caravans on site, across from the pit, where the coal miners used to live. The coal mine closed back in 1089 and the land was split up and sold off. The caravan park remained a park, where some of the old miners stayed and lived. Did the owners pass on? the old owner lived here until he went into a older residential home years ago (not sure on the exact date he moved out of the caravans) but he passed around 8 years ago I believe Did a bank seize the property? no - it was left to relatives of the owner that passed in his will, and we bought it off them Are all of the caravans filled with abandoned things? yes, they are all filled with the old belongings of the old owner and other people he lived with Was the park like a commune where friends and family lived there together? - everyone that lived here originally worked at the coal mine/colliery Was it like a business someone ran in which people to rented the caravans for a vacation or a place to stay for a while? it was never a business or used as a holiday accommodation. It was used by the coal miners Hope that helps 🥰

@@pninny I don't even like to think about it 🤣
Just found your channel so will look out for more content. I was almost sick when Jon walked into that disgusting caravan and the state it was left in- he is braver than I am for sure. To be honest I would have hired a couple of huge industrial sized Skip Bins. One for recycling and one for the green foliage waste. It might have been a little pricey but saves double handling.
honestly couldn't believe the stuff we found in there! We did the worst ones first, so hopefully the next 2 won't be as bad! xx
Awesome video. Can’t wait to see what’s next
Thanks so much Beverly 🙂

I have yet to watch all of your other videos, but I plan on it today. If you haven’t mentioned it in yet, I hope you consider answering some of these questions in future videos (so long as it doesn’t invade your privacy or anyone else’s):
Why was the caravan park abandoned? Did the owners pass on? Did a bank seize the property? Are all of the caravans filled with abandoned things? Was the park like a commune where friends and family lived there together? Was it like a business someone ran in which people to rented the caravans for a vacation or a place to stay for a while?
Obviously, I don’t expect a reply to this comment. I just love learning the history of the people who lived in abandoned places. I follow a lot of this kind of content and completely understand how delicate talking about the previous owners can be. 🥰
Thanks for watching and for joining us on our renovation journey! We are more than happy to answer 🥰
Why was the caravan park abandoned? - it used to belong to the old coal mine/colliery and the caravan park had 20 caravans on site, across from the pit, where the coal miners used to live. The coal mine closed back in 1089 and the land was split up and sold off. The caravan park remained a park, where some of the old miners stayed and lived.
Did the owners pass on? the old owner lived here until he went into a older residential home years ago (not sure on the exact date he moved out of the caravans) but he passed around 8 years ago I believe
Did a bank seize the property? no - it was left to relatives of the owner that passed in his will, and we bought it off them
Are all of the caravans filled with abandoned things? yes, they are all filled with the old belongings of the old owner and other people he lived with
Was the park like a commune where friends and family lived there together? - everyone that lived here originally worked at the coal mine/colliery
Was it like a business someone ran in which people to rented the caravans for a vacation or a place to stay for a while? it was never a business or used as a holiday accommodation. It was used by the coal miners
Hope that helps 🥰
Thankyou for sharing🇦🇺
