The story is so moving and it is a true story of a small boy who was lifted to safety by his parents from a cable car accident. He watched them plunge to their deaths. Han Hung wrote this song and she adopted the little boy. Dimash heard this song some years ago and was so touched by it that he asked her for permission to sing it on 'The Singer'. It ended up that he lost his voice before the performance and had to get injections etc. Then he sang the song & then lost his voice immediately afterwards. This performance is from his Bastau concert after 'The Singer', and he is definitely not ill this time and the performance is incredible!

At the moment that the cable car fell and crashed, the father tried his best to hold his son high. The two-year-old kid survived, while her parents both died. Deeply touched by the story, Han also adopted the kid. She said she feels empathy with the boy, more than others, since she herself lost her father at the age of six.

He tells the story with his voice, his body, the entire performance. I've said this before; Dimash looks and sounds like that utterly desperate, heartbroken 2 year old boy did on that day. And even if he sang this sitting quietly, with no vocal runs and acrobatics, he could still make Daybreak just as heartwrenching and yes, hopeful.
